Looks like the Army wants to don the new Humvee replacement with the chaingun that's on the Apache helicopter, doing away with the Ma Deuce.

Know what that means?  Surplus .50 cal barrels for home projects again!

I wouldn't think they would install the 30mm on a majority of them , too expensive to maintain & operate . I can see some set up that way ,but not most . Besides , with this commie admin. , they would not give them up , the extra barrel will be given or sold to his buddies in the middle east , any extra's would be de-milled .

That would be like a Apache on wheels , pretty badass when you think about it.

25mike is a beast. It will sink just about anything shy of a MBT. Brad has a pretty slow ROF though and a truck like that should have better suppression capabilities. It's also a pretty big round that will really limit magazine capacity.

I understand upgrading the ancient M2s, but I dint see a reason for a bigger round. It would be useful in certain situations, like Ukraine with APCs all over the place, but 50 is plenty big for most situations. Maybe better to design a platform that makes swapping guns easier for different missions.
