rcnut
down to the final decision of which 308 would you get? LF 308 lite hunter or a DPMS 308 lite hunter, both 20 in. barrel, both within ounces of each other, both close in $. this is for hunting, target , and overall just plain fun shooting, eventually I might change the barrel for a 6.5 Creedmore (maybe) I am not trying to start any war, so please lets keep the answers honest, friendly, and in the spirit of this forum. thank you
ARTrooper
I would go with the LF308, simply because it's more my style being more tactical. I don't have the foggiest on the quality of the things though, but that being said, I was never that impressed with stock dpms rifles as far as quality is concerned, not bad but has never wowed me. Magwa
DPMS lr308 forget the 20 inch barrel stuff totally unnecessary just make a heavy gun heavier.....

Yes, a 16 inch barrel is ok for a rifle, just long enough to be legally a rifle, or if you need lighter go with a pistol.
ARTrooper
yeah, I went off of his original post of saying, "both 20 in. barrel" totally agree about the barrel thing, going off of other things besides the barrel, I liked the LF308 look to it.
