Do they even have registration? Was the media correct (because we know how accurately they report "gun facts")? Maybe they were checking serials on reported stolen firearms? We need to get away from this practice, they could just take down the serial number and check it without taking the weapon, there was after all no crime committed. In California he used evil lead-content bullets to murder-poach-steal (one crime, even worse if the innocent deer was eating granola) a buck just looking for a little tail.
