bgc
KROIL, I have been using this stuff on all of my firearms. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=1159/Product/J_B_reg__BORE_COMPOUND___KROIL Let it sit in a smooth bore over night and the melted wadding and carbon come out in chunks. My rimfire's get the same treatment at the end of hunting season..also great for the dried grease on antiques.

Jgun
Great stuff, Ive been using it on locked up motoers and such on the bikes for years. It also works good for breaking stuff loose on machinetools.
hobbesgunner
I've been swabbing barrels out with Kroil after cleaning for few years now and noticed a difference in ease of cleaning after next shooting session .they don't seem to foul as bad...rifled slug guns especially ..plastic and lead practically wipe out... Masgtions99
Let me pass on a secret that was passed on to me over 30 years ago by a gunsmith. Kroil penetrating oil is great for cleaning out that stubborn copper fouling. Just let it sit in the barrel and use your brush to wipe it out. You might have to let it sit a while or if a very old firearm in need a a cleaning 20 years ago sit overnight, you'll be surprised how nice it works. I've used it for years and years! mineralman55
Kroil is very good stuff indeed. It's a better penetrant oil than the standard WD40. It does help clean things. but prolonged contact with metal will eventually eat the metal. And I can't get by the smell. It stinks like a urinal disinfectant cake. Fort Tom
I've been using the stuff for years. Sometimes hard to find around here, but it's the best penetrating oil I have ever found. Will definitely loosen fouling and crap built up in a barrel, and at the same time, get the bolts off of those twenty year old muffler clamps. Great stuff. agr1279
You know Kano Labs which manufactures Kroil sales direct. You can get a little better prices from them. If you buy it off Amazon be prepared to pay through the nose. Dan
suzukiray
How does PB Blaster compare, Tom? Have you tried it? I have had good luck with it on all the motorcycle stuff I need it on. Ray.
