survivalshop Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 Hodgdon Has come out with an interesting Powder for the BLK & a couple others . https://www.hodgdon.com/cfe-blk/
98Z5V Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 Just read an article about this stuff in the new 2017 Hodgdon update. Looks damn good.
Sisco Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 I was going to get started with H110, might have to try this instead.
98Z5V Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 H110 and Accurate 1680 are both still very great powders for 300BLK.
survivalshop Posted January 24, 2017 Author Report Posted January 24, 2017 I use H110 & 296 ( same Powders ) Looks like the loadings for this Powder are about the same as H110 .
392heminut Posted January 25, 2017 Report Posted January 25, 2017 There's been some discussion over on 300blktalk.com about the CFEBLK. One of the forum members got an advance sample to test and the accuracy wasn't looking too good. Personally, I'm not buying any of it until there's more real world info out there on how it is working. I've been using IMR 4227 to load both supers and subs and it works great for me. Some have said over at the other forum that 4227 is quieter and a LOT cleaner than 1680 for use with subsonic loads.

Both H110 and 1680 do run the Blackout kinda dirty. I've noticed that with the fouling. I pull them apart and give them a wipedown (not a full cleaning) after every run, just because of that. Might need to try the 4227.

Bullets & its not bad at all .
98Z5V Posted January 28, 2017 Report Posted January 28, 2017 I'm kinda mid-weight, running the 150s almost all the time now. I'm getting almost 1900fps out of them. I still have H110 and 1680, so I'll load up some 110s and see how they do.
