Cbabin03
Does anyone have confirmation on running the D. Wilson BCG in the PSA PA10 upper reicever? Just looking to confirm before a purchase. Still waiting on the PA10 upper to come in stock. But I did already buy the complete lower, so I would like to match the upper. And thinking of getting a DPMS Ballistic Advantage .308 barrel to put on it. And go with a low profile Midwest industries 15” hand guard. Thought they quit public sales?
Cbabin03
Oh maybe they did? I have no idea. I was just on there sight looking at them. What other BCG should I run inside the PSA PA10 Gen 2 upper receiver then?
98Z5V
The D Wilson, if you can find it!
Cbabin03
What is the experience with running a non PSA barrel also with the PSA PA 10 receiver? I’m looking at either a ballistic advantage or combat Wilson possibly.
Cbabin03
My upper and lower is the matching set, I would just like to go with a different barrel instead of PSA. Also same with BCG and handgaurd.

I just looked and don't see any BCG's for sale. He did add muzzle device pinning and gas block installation services but no more BCG's that I could find, too bad as I would buy more.......... (5:56) haha Quality of manufacture at a price point that wasn't anywhere near gouging. Responsiveness of the owner, as well. Dave Wilson is a great guy. Smart as hell, too. Nothing, as far as I know - he just got out of the retail-to-the-customer business. Don't think there's anything wrong with him, brother. Cbabin03
Is the forward assist really needed in the AR10. Like my complete uppers r obv will have it. But does it need to function? Bc I hear a lot of the time it doesn’t even touch the standard BCG for DPMS? Just was curious.
jtallen83
I have a plug in the FA hole in my Matrix 308 build, never had an issue. Stupid thing was the plug cost me almost as much as a FA!
Cbabin03
Sounds good to me. Haha. Just was curious. Because I hear a lot of times they don’t even touch the BCG to assist.
98Z5V
They hit the stepdown of the BCG, and can make the final "close" to seat the bolt. Whoever told you that they don't even touch the BCG is incorrect. The spring is so strong in the 308s, though - if it won't seat the bolt, something is wrong. Using a FA seat the bolt on a round that won't chamber would probably compound whatever issue it's having.
