I've seen it in a few videos and I am wondering what you guys think. The original quality formula, a hard setting, economical sealant. Seals all common gasketing materials in low temperature and low pressure applications. Temperature range -65°F to 350°F (-54°C to 177°C); resists diesel fuels and most shop fluids. Curious as to how much good it would actually do, especially in high RoF situations.
98Z5V Posted February 16, 2019 Report Posted February 16, 2019 (edited) Never even heard of that before, and there's no way I'd use a gasket material for that job. Loc-Tite 609 is the only thing I've ever reliably heard of. Loc-Tite 609. Not "red loc-tite" or anything like that. 609. Edited February 16, 2019 by 98Z5V

No way should a gasket material be used, the idea is to remove any movement, gasket material will have some flex. 609, never had an issue taking the barrel back off with this stuff.
Boot_Scraper Posted February 16, 2019 Author Report Posted February 16, 2019 This stuff is the sh!t. Even comes in tactical black. I'm kidding, do not use Flex Seal on your rifle. Unless you just....don't want it to leak .....I guess. All BS aside, 609 is where it's at. You can find it cheap online.
