What gen of Glock 19?

I am thinking either a gen 3 or gen 5, any reason to go one way or another?

The Gen 5s are a little bit more '$' but come with a better trigger and an extra mag. I have owned quite a few gen 3s and put about 200 or so rounds through a gen 5.

I have an extra P80 compact frame (Blk) I’ll part with. Build your own Gen 3 with it!!!

I wont be buying anything untail Jan. , thanks for the offer though.

What is your take on the different generations of Glock?

Comes down to personal grip preference, more than anything else, until you get to the Gen 5 trigger.  Triggers are easy to change, though, and the aftermarket is flooded with them.   After shooting an original Glock 17, and that first round pull, I hated all Glocks forever - until I tried a 19X.  Then I had to have it.

IMO the Gen3 is the best Glock made, it has the largest amount of 'stuff' available for it, add a $5 'minus' connector and the trigger is leagues ahead of either the Gen4 or 5 triggers.

Again IMO, the only advance that Glock has made with the Gen4&5 is the ambi features and if you're not a lefty I'd go with the Gen3
