LR308
You're welcome! Where are you located? Was your choice for the LAR-8 based upon FAL magazine availability? Jon I´m in Finland. There were multiple causes for the choise: Importer Magazines And the fact that there ain´t other 308AR´s available that easily.

LR308
Welcome from Indiana brother, how's the weather there? What do FAL mags go for? I also have a RRA LAR-8. Thank´s. The weather currently (9.30 AM) is 5,8 dg C that should equal about 42.44 deg F. :) I got some FAL metric mags for 10 € a piece. That again is around $13... Cheap and all but rapes the cases :( Compared to the RRA plastic versions anyway.
unforgiven
RRA was up to $30.00 USD. then they went to $25.00.Poly are ok but I think the metal are more robust. And as you know LAR-8 can use both inch & metric.I am at the southern tip of Lake Michigan mid 70's F today and sunny. What do you do for work? planeflyer21
Poly are ok but I think the metal are more robust. I'm pretty sure the RRA poly are Thermold. Definately not the same material as the pmags for the AR15s. Jon

Jon I could try to dig some information about Simo Häyhä (Hayha if the scandinavian letters won´t show), just tell me what to find. In the mean time, any experience with http://www.themakogroup.com/product_p/ssr25.htm ?

EasyEJL
Cant comment on that one, but the Mako GL-Shock seems like a well made adjustable stock.

OFP2651
.308 prs with the dpms spacer from brownells works perfect. Hollywood, glad you like it, I did that as well, infact this thread helped lead me to it. My only one complaint is that my cheek now rests at the very front of the cheekpiece; are you having any troubles with that? hollywood
My cheek bone rests right at the frt . I use it as a reference for repeating my hold. Almost like a hook for my cheek.

I do the same with my LaRue OBR. Repeatability is the key.
