Xman280 Posted April 4, 2021 Report Posted April 4, 2021 Look at the pics. I bought those as brand new as "Military Surplus - German - 308 Win - 148 Grain - FMJ". Does it look legit to you?
Armed Eye Doc Posted April 4, 2021 Report Posted April 4, 2021 They are Berdan primed. That means they are 99.99% likely to be new ammo. Although not impossible, they are hard to reload.
Belt Fed Posted April 4, 2021 Report Posted April 4, 2021 (edited) SGammo has this and here is a brief description about it. 20 Round Box - 308 Win 148 Grain FMJ - German Military Surplus Ammo - AM2030 - Read Description - Limit 10 | SGAmmo.com Edited April 4, 2021 by Belt Fed
392heminut Posted April 4, 2021 Report Posted April 4, 2021 So, $1.04 a round for berdan primed surplus ammo? Since I reload and had plenty of reloading supplies I haven't had to buy live ammo since before all this B.S. started. Damn I'm glad I had the foresight to stock up! I feel bad for the folks just getting started with a new caliber, that has to suck!

Does it look legit to you? Yes, it's new, it's surplus... Nobody but the military ammo manufacturers seals primers.
