Jgun
It sure sounds as though there's an awful lot of bureaucratic BS to deal with to own suppressors !!!!! http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2011/11/foghorn/atf-classifies-pot-scrubbers-as-silencers-makes-possession-illegal/

Jgun
I think it's all a plot by 3M to get rid of the competition so that they have the pot scrubbing market all to themselves with their Scotchbrite product (which has no application as far as I know in suppressors). 98Z5V
The suppressor is serial numbered, and you've paid the stamp. How can "servicing a serviceable suppressor" be considered "making a suppressor"?!!? <<< THAT would require another stamp - MAKE another one. Not service what you already legally own... I don't even comprehend. <dontknow>
Matt.Cross
It's not even remotely about making sense anymore, it's just the government getting press for trying to take action. I sincerely hope high-profile anti-gun government officials start getting knocked off with stuff like forks, butter knives, baseball bats, rat poison, anything except for guns. Maybe that way one of those idiots would wake up and realize that no matter what weapon they ban, they will never do away with the intent to do harm, and people's ability to get creative about doing so.
