Length

Can someone tell me what length hg covers the gas block. 
I'm looking ant a 10.5 carbon fiber just not sure it’s long enough

The handguard that covers the gas block on my 12.5" pistol will not cover the gas block on my 20" rifle.

You gave us no information on what you have to work with.

Measure from the front of the upper receiver to the front of the gas block and you will know how long it needs to be.

I realized I did that just now lol. 
 

16 in barrel with mid length gas system. 
I think I need a 12-12.5 HG

This is a 14.5 barrel with a 12" handguard, I had a 15" but it came 1/2" into muzzle device. Depends on the look you want. 15" handguard on 16" barrel will go short of the muzzle device.
