Rockin308
Hello, I am not familiar with these type of buffer tubes with the notch cut extension for the buffer retaining pin to snap into. Now is this far enough or do I need to turn it in just a bit more? Thank you, Rockin308 Edited July 8, 2022 by Rockin308
jtallen83
Where does your carrier stop? Does it contact the ears on the lower receiver there, does it clear the bolt catch and by how much? That's what I would be looking for. I have used tubes like that but there are variations among makers. I've had to add quarters in the bottom of the tube and file notches deeper on occasion. 98Z5V
Looks like it needs to go in another turn. Hard to tell with the perfect shadow in those pics.
sketch
Looks ok but if you can make another rotation and not put to much friction on the stop..try it?
shooterrex
Looks like it will go 1 more turn.
Rockin308
Thank you all, I have never used those style of buffers before. Just the good old Mil-Spec ones for an AR 15. When I get home I'll take better pics and turn it in one more turn. Thanks again.
