planeflyer21
Alright, went to the range to play RSO and had some time to unload some light loads. On the second magazine of 8, couldn't pull the trigger.Did a check, the safety was off. Tried the trigger and got a click. Ejected the live round in the chamber, cycled the safety on then off, then it went bang.Got home and pulled it apart for cleaning and it looks like the plate under the safety which blocks the trigger from moving, when the safety is engaged, is binding a bit. When I have some more time next week, I'll pull that part and ensure it is deburred, polish it up a bit.Anyone else experience something similar?Jon
98Z5V
Anyone else experience something similar?YEOW! Have NOT had that happen to mine. :oIf I read that correctly - after the no-fire, when you cycled the safety on then off, it fired by itself when the safety was taken off? planeflyer21
Correct, sir.It looks like I can get that plate out after removing the recoil spring and guide. The plate has a hole through the middle of it the spring and rod go through.May do that tomorrow.Jon

planeflyer21
Oh I'm always safe. No need to mess around with a gun blowing up in my face. The most important thing to remember after doing work on your gun is this seven-word safety phrase: "Would you like to shoot my gun?"98, you're still coming to Tucson this week, right?Jon
98Z5V
In Phoenix right now, and I'll be passing back through there sometime later on Tuesday - late afternoon or early evening. <thumbsup> I'll definitely give you a shout. I'm going to try to time my trip so I can hit Sportsman's Warehouse before they close. They have a soft case I'm after, and I have Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket... <laughs>
planeflyer21
What limp case is that?I took a look at those Voodoo molle shotgun scabbards. I don't believe that the 930SPX will fit, with the front sight. It doesn't fit in a standard shotgun case.Jon
98Z5V
It's the VooDoo double rifle case in 36". Saw that up there last time I went through, but didn't pick it up then. Damn nice case.
repoman
A Just put a Vang Comp Safty on it. What has happened is the safty sets on a plate with a ball bearing and spring underneath it. Held in bye a cheap plastic push in plug, you have to use a slot screw driver and tap the slot to form a screw head on the plug. Then remove your trigger pack, hold the nut like thing the plug is in. and lefty loosey it out. The Vang Safty I put on all my custom builds has an allen head screw that replaces that cheap pressed in plug. The problem is the safties sticking in the on positsion, no big deal. Need help drop me a line, can walk u threw it.
