Magpul UBR

Im thinking of getting a Magpul UBR. Does anyone here have any experience with one? Is it as heavy as a PRS?

No experience personally but I have heard they are lighter.

UBR stock 1.48lbs

PRS with rifle receiver 1.85lbs

I have 3 of them and love the heck out of them. Two of them are on .308s the other is on a .223. They are a little heavy but they feel like a solid stock and collapse/adjust for transport or shooting with armor on. I would say I'm a fan of almost all of the MagPul stocks but it's really more like an addict.

One note if you are putting them on a .308 you are most likely going to have to play with the buffer size and length to get the bolt to lock open on an empty magazine.

  I was at the fun store the other day to pick up a lower & I had a chance to pick one of them up and feel it .

  Man, that thing is heavy ,but that is a nice stock .

  I may have to change the full stock on my 20" . I would not even think about putting it on my 16 " , I like that under 10 # rifle the way she is .

I am a light stock advocate myself. I put an ARFX stock on my 24" bull gun and an ARFX entry stock on my M4 clone. I think I like the entry stock better than a collapsible.
