And yes they do sell to john Q, Give them a call, Like I said, great people to deal with.

tajPATRIOT Posted April 12, 2010 Author Report Posted April 12, 2010 Project postponed. Tactical will be offering a complete .308 soon, and I'll be looking forward to the evaluations of them. Maybe as soon as this summer!tj
98Z5V Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 They already have finished, annodized .308 lowers. Last time I checked, they were only $200 before shipping - that's one hell of a deal for a stripped .308 lower. Did you check into that, possibly going that route? Assembling a stripped lower with LPK is pretty simple to do, regardless of experience level.

Matt.Cross Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 That would be 'Lower Parts Kit' if I'm not mistaken :)
tajPATRIOT Posted April 12, 2010 Author Report Posted April 12, 2010 Oh. :-[Here's where the steep acronym learning curve begins.tj
Matt.Cross Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Don't feel too bad. Three weeks ago I wouldn't have been able to tell you ;)
98Z5V Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Yep, my fault - lower parts kit. Brownells has some videos on the 'net on the installation process, and there are many very good guides posted on different message boards. It's a job that about anyone can do with a few basic (talking VERY basic) tools. If anything were to go seemingly wrong, you've got tons of help right here on this board, too. There's alot of us here that would chime in on guidance, written assistance, tips/tricks, whatever.
Madhouse Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Maybe we need to list an acronym glossary.
draco41 Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 That would be 'Lower Parts Kit' if I'm not mistaken :) you will also see it refered to a FCG = fire control group
