(16") If so, suggestions on a different muzzle break? Thanks in advance for any infromation given. Make sure you look to see that the device is labeled as a 7.62 or .308 muzzle device. A .223/5.56 device will not fit and if you try to force it, you could cross thread your barrel. Robocop1051 Posted January 30, 2012 Report Share Posted January 30, 2012 If you're on a budget, I suggest Troy or PWS. My personal favorite is the Battlecomp BABC, but they're expensive. I don't know how good they'll be, but Daniel Defense is coming out with a new line of muzzle devices. They're offering 3 new options for the .308. Brownells may have videos on them on there sight, I know they do for flash suppressors .Make sure you use barrel blocks to remove or install any muzzle device.
