imschur Posted March 23, 2012 Report Posted March 23, 2012 I used to shoot prone very well. Now Im fat and it's like trying to shoot from a top one of those excersise balls.
Jgun Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 From what I hear the Atlas bipods are very popular, along with a mono pod mounted to one of those larue butt stock adapters. Some prefer a shooting bag for the butt stock. I'm presently setting up a gun for bench shooting and have picked up a Versa Pod bipod for it. I'll be trying both setups for the butt stock, but that will be months from now.
Dusty44 Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Subscribe to the internet feeds from Brownells, Sinclair, Impact Guns (these three are all Brownells Group); then MidwayUSA and Sportsmans Guide. I see benchrest stands and bags of all kinds, bipods, monopods, 'sandbags' (or whatever they really are) of several designs and types, etc., advertised real often. As always, use common sense when considering a purchase.
BLKSHEEP Posted April 2, 2012 Author Report Posted April 2, 2012 I picked up a set of bags from bass pro to try out <thumbsup>
BR-549 Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 I've been looking at this Caldwell Bench. It looks heavy enough and is portable. I have yet to see one anywhere but on the net. This is a good price and I have seen nothing but good reviews.http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00162PRPY/ref=asc_df_B00162PRPY1960607?smid=A317K0TMO7ND9M&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395105&creativeASIN=B00162PRPY&hvpos=none&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3807348470588807&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt= Here is another one, looks better, but is very pricey.http://doatactical.com/360shootingbenchhome.html
