Livnoutdoors6.8 Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 I was just about to place my order for a LPK and a Bolt carrier, when I noticed that they wanted $20 for shipping?! These two items could probably fit in a small flat rate box for $5. The worst part is that they have the only carriers in stock that I can find so I'm at their mercy. I know everything with a .308 AR is more expensive, but shipping too? Get real :cookoo:
imschur Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 Im seeing this at several sites. Im at the point now where I often run simultaneous shopping carts to final checkout. I then decide where to order.SI Defense once refunded most of my shipping because they felt I was over paying on shipping ($12) for bolt catch screws.
unforgiven Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 With fuel going thru the roof it's only goona get worse. :(
survivalshop Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 Not to mention , someone has to look up your order , pack it & then ship it . Just saying .
Livnoutdoors6.8 Posted April 8, 2012 Author Report Posted April 8, 2012 Yeah, but someone does that for other companies too, without charging a ridiculous amount. Thats what the money they add onto cost pays for, otherwise it'd be called "Shipping & handling & order look up & packaging & whatever else" The way I see it, the order look-up and packaging is a part of a job that's paid for by revenue generated by selling the product itself, not by jacking shipping prices. I played around with their shopping cart with different products and it seems like they have price-point based shipping, which works if all of their higher priced products were of larger size.
imschur Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 Within the past few weeks they shipped me two LPK's for $15, an LPk, buffer, buffer spring and buffer tube for $10. Interestingly in 2009 they charged $20 shipping on a BCG. I wonder if they insure the orders or something
