MikedaddyH
Have not shot one , But Do Not have a Comp/Flash/Brake on the end of your gun when you shoot that Sabo round !I bought 10 bullets online and have not put them into ammo yet, paid a premium for these. Saving those for a special day.
Robocop1051
I can understand why you wouldn't want a close ended muzzle device, but shouldn't an open ended device (like the Vortex) be ok? I guess it's one of those "why risk it?" situations...
mrraley
One thing that you need to be cautious with in shooting sabot rounds through a semi auto rifle is that it is possible for the sabot jacket to get loged in the gas port or gas tube. Then causing more problems if it reaches back to the BCG. Now I have used them in my lever action 30-30 and they worked great...
survivalshop
I have shot them from a 30'06 M1 with no problems , long time ago & I think I used .223 , 55 gr. bullets .I do not see a problem with a muzzle device on there , never tried it with one , but the pressure will spit any piece of plastic out of the barrel , one would think .I know I had some issues loading them , as said a long time ago.Hastings rifled barrels for slug shot guns ,have a special (I think its special ) to discard the sabot when it exits the barrel , I guess so it doesn't follow the bullet to the target. planeflyer21
I also shot some Accelerators in my .30-30 way back when. Something like 3,750fps...it was instantaneous gratification!Squeeze the trigger on a 2-liter bottle of water at 150-200 yards and the very INSTANT your brain realizes that the hammer released, the bottle is exploding in a cloud of mist, followed by recoil. The .30-06 Accelerator is somewhere north of 4,000fps.Jon
