Armed Eye Doc Posted March 17, 2025 Report Posted March 17, 2025 I was out in West Texas kicking up more dirt to put on @shepp's windshield and my brother brought out some brake rotors to shoot...just because he had them. 45ACP and 9mm did nothing to them at 20 yards that couldn't be removed by turning the rotors. Below is what 450 Bushmaster did at about 25 yards. Impact is at 11:30. This was a green tip 5.56 ar 25yd. Impact at 3:00. It went through one side of the rotor but stopped in the middle. The others are pistol rounds. Next is a 55gr .223 at 25 yards. It went almost as far through as the LAP. Impact at 1:00. The final caliber (or calibre for @Cunuckgaucho) of the day is 243 Win. Impact at 3:00. It also did not go through both sides. It did, however, cause small cracks on the back side with a small dent.
Armed Eye Doc Posted March 17, 2025 Author Report Posted March 17, 2025 I hope to update this with other calibers in the future. My brother brought several rotors to be shot.
Cunuckgaucho Posted March 17, 2025 Report Posted March 17, 2025 Funny you picked 243 Win for mention. Before I started the new job, my new supervisor called me up and said we all meet at the dept. office and easy to remember as it was 243 just like the calibre( caliber for @Armed Eye Doc )

Jeff300 Posted March 17, 2025 Report Posted March 17, 2025 That makes for some happy shooting there, great stuff! 😁
