Magwa Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 I just don't understand why everyone thinks this is some kind of victory for the 2A when I can walk into a gun store and buy a suppressor turn around and walk out then we will be somewhere near getting our rights back until then it is all fluff!
Armed Eye Doc Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 While I agree with you that the NFA is unconstitutional and needs to be repealed, I believe this is a large step forward from where it has been for 90+ years. It "should" be the springboard for the courts to abolish the registration part of the law. However ,I will believe that when I see it. One thing the left does well is to take any small step forward in their agenda and then plan for the next step. They are always looking for the leap forward, but will accept the step... always moving. I am not saying that you are this way but there are many on the right who will block moderate progress because it doesn't go all of the way. It is short-sighted. All of that said, I am still unlikely to play by the new rules and order a suppressor. I will continue to be uncivilized and create excess noise until I can buy one without pictures and fingerprints.

shooterrex Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 Yes unconstitutional laws get passed quick. Sometimes it takes years to get them overturned in the courts. Look at concealed carry. Now there are more states that recognize the constitution and don't require a permit to carry. The NFA sucks. Hopefully we can get it overturned in the courts.

shooterrex Posted January 5 Report Posted January 5 Just got the emails today that the 2 cans we did the forms on on Jan 1 are now officially in the system on 5 Jan. Guess the que was looooong.
