The standard rail sections that come with it are receiver height (unless you want the delta rail) the bolt in long rail justs connects the handguard to the rcvr. The part you are looking at just connects the whole shebang, hand guard to the receiver, like in my mk12 build here:http://308ar.com/forum/black-rifles/first-ar-15-build/15/Half way down. blue109 Posted February 11, 2013 Report Share Posted February 11, 2013 I think the connector piece defeats the purpose of a lightweight hand guard Unless you have a pile of attachments all the way down the rail. If you are scoped and its mounted to the receiver it wont do much. If you have a buis on the end it might keep it slightly more solid..but most of those builds use a gas block buis.I also think it looks completely awesome and would love to build a mod0 clone.
