EasyEJL
Actually, that isn't quite correct. Young Mfg and SI Defense have both manufactured DPMS-type bolt carriers with serrations. SI has temporarily discontinued production on theirs, but you can still get one from Young Mfg. I guess I should have said "that I've ever seen for sale anywhere" :)
Matt.Cross
I guess I should have said "that I've ever seen for sale anywhere" :) Perfectly understandable brother. <thumbsup> It wasn't an accusation, just a clarification. john95620
If some are saying that the 308 bcg does not come with serrations on the side, why have I seen some and why does my upper from JD Machine Tech have the build up on it for a fwd assist ? Do not want to argue , just want to get one.
will92104
I have a jd upper with a fwd assist also. The fwd assist pushes on the bolt carrier to move the bcg forward. My bcg does not have the serrations either. There is a shoulder located approximately in the middle of the bolt carrier and that is what the fwd assist pushes on. D.R.D.
Does anyone know if SI-Defense .308 stripped uppers allow for a forward assist?
