Pretty sweet setup!  At first, just from the link, I thought it looked like an Aero Precision/Armalite COP upper.  Not the case.  This is more like a Ruger 10/22 Takedown.  Nice!

Interesting , but for what purpose ?

Unless you just want to change different length barrels or different calibers that use the same bolt face & or magazine .

IMO , it would be more logical to just have or carrie a complete upper assembly , ready to go .

Pack that full-sized AR in a case as small as the one in the picture, or pack it in a small(er) backpack if you're in the wilderness. 

 

That's the whole reason I went with the LAW Tactical Folding Stock Adapters - pack rifle-caliber firearms into a backpack that doesn't look like there's a full-sized AR in there.  Stealth, when you need/want stealth.
