DPMS Custom Barrel Options????

I have an lr308 with the standard stainless bull barrel, I put the RRA Match trigger in, Magpul PRS stock on the rifle and i have a Leupold Mark 4 LRT scope, I took Storm Mountains Long Range Rifle class with a buddy who has a custom Mike Rock barrel on his Remington 700 PSS.  Now my dpms held its own out to 800 yards (that is as far as we shot), but I wanted to find a custom heavy barrel for my lr308 that has been hand lapped etcto help improve on its accuracy.  I want a full bull barrel that could possibly threaded, I looked at JP and they dont seem to be a full bull barrel.  Any suggestions to help improve accuracy.  I am taking Storm Mountains Long Range Rifle 2 in May and want my rifle done soon.  Looking for a good gunsmith to install too.  I love the weapon and was very impressed with the stock barrel but just looking for some more accuracy.  Thanks for your help, I am new to the site and am happy to find it.

Thanks for the link, it looks like they only do ar 15 (223)barrels.  I will call them to see if they will do a 308  barrel too.  If nothing else, I can have them rebarrel a Rem 700.  Thanks again,

Ballistic Advantage would be another. The Fulton Armory/Krieger barrels are shooters too. GA Precision might be able to help as well

I checked with GAP, they said they were too backed up on their own AR rifles to work on mine, I offered to buy their upper and they said they couldnt due to demand.  I will check with the others too.  Thanks.

I plan on making an order from these guys after the first of the year. This is going to be my base barrel, before I get ABS to carbon wrap it.

I emailed Mike Rock a few months ago and he informed me that I can choose barrel length, gas length, rifing rate and threaded/crowned end.

My friends mike rock barrel is a piece of art.  He got the navy diameter on his remington 700, I have never shot a more accurate barrel.  Did he say how long the wait would be?

At the time, they said they had a number of barrels on hand, in common make/caliber/length combo's. A few AR308 barrels are included. He said if I wanted an 18" barrel (ABS contoured) with rifle length gas, it was ready now. He could have it rifled (I wanted 1:11) and shipped to ABS in a week.

I have no idea what the time frame is now. That was 2 or 3 months ago.

They responded to all my questions very VERY quickly.
