survivalshop
Some times you have to disassemble & clean these things. Probably why this press is still working great , as old as it is. Wow, Almost new again !
Toolndie7
Yeah that's always a good thing to do. Lets you see any problems that are just starting to appear also.
98Z5V
I haven't pulled the Rock Chucker apart since I bought it in 2009 or 2010. I probably need to do that. For some reason, forming that 300BLK brass seems like it's hard on it. Makes the damn thing move on the bench a little.

Besides underneath your truck on the Interstate at 90mph?

survivalshop
I know 98 "got" that one ! You will be surprised at how smooth they are after a good cleaning, lbricating , also on how much crap gets in there. I use Synthetic grease now a days, catches a lot of gunk , but works longer & smoother over time . 98Z5V
Damn! Jon, you are one M E A N bastard! <lmao> I've never seen a cast iron PRESS break before, but I have done my own share of breaking the stuff in Jeeps and trucks, I will freely admit that. planeflyer21
I've spoken with a couple of people that have broken cast iron presses. Not many when you consider the millions that are out there. A few years back, RCBS got busted getting their Rockcrushers cast in China and machined in the USA. Lots of people unhappy about that…and I don't blame them. I've snapped plenty of the Harbor Freight stuff…don't know why a press would be different (from China, that is).
