survivalshop Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Check Natchez out , they have 1 # cans for about $ 20 . I be low on funds right now or I would pick up some to try .
mineralman55 Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 A number of folks got the 1lb bottles of TAC in the last two days. Only one guy had the 8lb kegs, but he wanted $190 for each keg. Forget that! Hopefully that means more powders will be coming up soon.
shibiwan Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 No wonder there's suddenly a ton floating on backpage going for $30/lb
98Z5V Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 I'm even down to it for $30/lb. That's my perfect powder for the 5.56 75 and 77grainers.
shibiwan Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 You tried CFE223 yet? I get pretty good results for 75gr HPBT's
98Z5V Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 The TAC is a very equivalent powder for the Mk262 loads, so I've been sticking with it. I haven't tried the CFE yet.
mineralman55 Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 There were several others offering TAC in 8lb kegs yesterday. Also AA2495 and H335. It looks like powders are slowly coming back. I'm holding out for AA2520 and Varget. ^-^ TAC is THE powder for me for the .308. Great accuracy and a little cleaner than AA2520. It worked in the 5.56 with the 77 grainers (1:8 twist hbar). It was better than acceptable, not as good as respectable.
survivalshop Posted March 6, 2014 Author Report Posted March 6, 2014 I think they are just teasing us, the Bastiges ! <dontknow>
