9thmorebel
Does anyone have an answer on why Iron Ridge changed the name to IRA-X? I have an IRA-10. Thanks
imschur
I believe it was due in part to the similarity of a long time manufacturers trademark name.
Matt.Cross
I believe it was due in part to the similarity of a long time manufacturers trademark name. The "X" is more or less a way of representing '10' with roman numerals. If they come out with an IRA-VX, we'll know what's going on.... ;)
imschur
Now I will toss this in there
98Z5V
The older IRA-10D was DPMS compatible, and the older IRA-10A was Armalite compatible. The "-10" part wasn't liked, so it was dropped for the "IRA-X" moniker. The only pics you'll see on their website now are of the older "IRA-10D" stamped/engraved lowers, but I don't think they ship like that anymore.Examples:
