At the local gun shop today, my regular Friday stop by and bring dounuts with me. (too many ex mil and LEO in and out) They received 3 Stags today an Armalite and 2 BARRETT 50s. Both 50s went out the door within the hour. Don't know if the ARs made it to the end of the day. So they are still being shipped.

Well I wonder if they arelooking for the almighty dallor, no that couldn't be the reason. :o CTD is a dead site for me anyway.

The American public has been stuffed full of lies and bad information, but yet beleive what they are being told. What happened to telling the truth. I work for a government agenencey and the newspaper reported a story incorrectly, of course the incorrect articile was where the public reads and the correction was a small 2 liner somewhere. Just wondering where the world I grew up in has gone.

In Iowa, conceal carry laws are pretty open here. In the last couple of years the permits are fairly easy to get. (an increase of over 4000 in one county alone in one year) Ex military with a good record can walk in and get one in your hand when you walk out the door. (yes there is a records check) I live ina smaller town and local law enforcement know me so it was even easier, but I am ex military too. If the shooting like happened in Colo. happened here you could have somewhere between 5 to 10 people carrying at that time/place. BTW imschur: Iowa's budget is in the black with surplus.

Stopped by the local gun shop to wish the guys a Merry Christmas. One of the locals came in with a large box with Magpul logo on it, full of 100 5.56/.223 original black 30 round Pmags looking to sell. He has 3 more boxes at home. (another 300 mags) He will be back again on Wednesday, think I need to speak with him and see about some thru here maybe. ::) Need to add, he had these listed and they shut his listing down even after a hour long phone conversation promted by the email sent him that they were to shut it down.

For some reason, every time I stopped into the LGS I would pick up a couple of mags. Be it for the ARs or the AKs. Come home and put the new purchase in the box with the others. Stopped by today and the rack was cleaned out. I have a fair stock but was still going to get a couple more. Well you jnow how that went.

I also could not find the way to sign.

Well look at the limiting the size of a drink you can get at MACs for instance. The government needs to pull their out til they hear a loud pop. I stopped into the LGS and the racks a bare. From what I heard from them and last few days at all the shops are pretty cleared out.

I have ordered from Dave and have the Mega Arms receives in hand. A great guy to deal with. I'm in on the group buy again, again.

Dave, I'm in for a extended lenght upper if that's what being shipped first. And a set of the same. (upper/lower combo) I'm sure they will be offering the MKM for the AR15 in the future as I have a couple of those waiting.

I had only ordered a few thing from CTD, but now I will use other suppliers. My LGS is a very good place to purchase firearms and they have beat the prices I found even the lower prices online. I'm done with CTD

I am retired 30 years military and I was held accountable as I held others accountable when I was the one in charge be it state side or the desert. The momment I heard the news from Conn. I was at the LGS and all the LE phones started ringing. It is timing, and the time is prime for the gun control to hit the fan.

I agree will ROBO! <thumbsup> I have shot many over the counter ARs and many M16s during 30 years of military, and my first build with quaility parts out shoots them all. I am not going to be one of the buyers of this piece either. Where is the reason to spend 2 grand+ and then need to change something, I just don't get it. :cookoo:

Well I pre ordered one for the 7.62. Looks like this will be a great addition to the MA-TEN set. I am questioning if it will fit the Mega Arms 5.56, should its a spec unit. Glad Rainier shows the Raptor on a Mega Arms receiver. I should stay off this forum, I keep finding more neat stuff to spend money on <thumbsup>

Added my review. I have 3 of them now and do not consider anyother safety for my rifles. Even put one in a friends rifle the other day because his didn't feel right, it does now.

Another vote for the people on this site! You can find help for any question you have. I started here by reading everything and learned so much. I had never built an AR or any other rifle for that matter, but I learned and now on my 3rd build. I am enjoying the hell out of this. And the fact I am getting sub MOA at 100 yards doesn't hurt either. VERY NICELY DONE! My brothers in arms that wear the uniform (multicam) tell me you can see the black rifle long before you see the troops on patrol. Wonder why the military doesn't send more time on camo for the weapons.

i have not been disappointed with any Mega Arms product I've purchased. If this is the next step in the Mega Arms line, I'm in for one of each. OK they aren't budget builds but none of the builds have been cheap :cookoo:. This the worse than Harleys as a hobby. :cookoo:

My first question is: Are all the rifles in the AR style platform? Are some bolt action? Have you actually tried to make up a load for each for the rilfes? I feel there are too many varibles involved to actually give you a good answer. Sorry more than just one question

I know you have been ordering the parts for your first build................Just one problem. You can't stop at ONE! I finished my first, it's an AR15, but jumped right in on the next, I went Mega Arms MATEN, man is that some beautiful machining. (got it thru the group buy here at 308AR) I was in the military for over 25years and never used the forward assist. My first AR has it, but not after that. And all my ARs are billet receiver sets. Good luck, and the rule is when it is finished you must post pictures.

My Mega Arms 308 billet receiver set is in the mail to my FFL. (Purchased thru the group buy here at 308AR) Dave is a good guy to deal with and WILL be buying more from him. Wasn't there this morning when I stopped by, maybe tomorrow. So the next build will be starting very soon. Haven't decided on the barrel yet, but most likely I will order from Krieger.
