Hey I just bit the bullet last week. I went looking at all the different manufacturers and decided to go American. My Dodge Ram1500 has treated me well. Needs a few things but going to keep it. I ordered a 2014 CTS coupe, will be here in a few weeks. But seeing it's in the winter here it will stay in the garage until the snow is gone. One of my coworkers has a Volt, he loves it and the mileage is unreal.

I have one bolt gun I use for F/TR comp. but don't use AR brass for that one. I have never used the PMC or Brazilian ammo so can't really comment on good or bad to reload. For the bolt I went the most expensive brass but I am on my 5th reload on the first 100 pieces, so in a way the cost is coming down. One of the other competitors is on his 12th reload of the same brass. So the cheap way is not always the best route. For my ARs I have always picked up Lake City once fired and seems to be a good choice so far.

Charging Handle

Matt always likes pictures. Mates with Mega Arms billet lowers, no forward assist, charging handle is also Mega Arms billet, 308 MATEN upper.

I do have a Mega Arms charging handle to go with for additional $25.00.

I have an extra Mega Arms billet upper for sale. Never in a rifle, has the ejection door, Mega's part number M308-0350 HA, $250.00 shipped to forum member where legal.

I received mine that were back ordered from Brownells but have not seen them ON THE SHELF as of yet.

I have been buying a few here and there. No problem getting mags now. My LGS has the rack full and a couple of cases in the back room.

I have that satety in every AR platform rifle I own. I also had a problem like yours, switched the trigger out to a Giessele SSA-E and have NEVER had the problem again.

I have a JP trigger in the first AR15 I built, but have since gone to the Giessele triggers (SSA-E & Hi Speed National match). So I have 3 AR builds under my belt and 2 MATEN MKM builds working. PARTS are the are the problem, not the part itself, it's the waiting for the parts that is getting old. The parts list you list you have so far is heading in the right direction, Battle Arms safety is the way to go. I did have others but switched over all the rifles to battle Arms. The 3 AR15s that were completed and have the ones for the MATEN builds. I think I was able to score an Armalite AR10 BCG last night, the order does not say back ordered but I also don't have it in hand yet. So the barrel will need to be the AR10 platform. DPMS or Armalite both are fine to use. I don't post as much, I read a lot here. I find the members are VERY good at helping each other.

From Unforgiven: How do you like that Scorpion bro? I really like the Scorpion, nice trigger and easy to shoot. But I tried some Wilson combat mags and the Scorpion seems like them and the slide locked better. So I order a few more from Brownells.
