I agree, I have tried a broad range of powder loads and have consistently found that the lower amount of grains per load has brought the highest consistency in tighter groupings. Plus you are not beating the crap out of your action with the lower loads.

CCI 41 and 34 primers on all my loads, I use Varget alot but I also like to use military pulldown powders; 844 = H335 846 = BLC2 I like to buy in case lots 32 lbs at a rip, (keeps the same lot) You need a chrono to work up your loads, but once you are dialed in you have pleanty of powder on hand... here is a good link for Surplus powder info... http://www.223reloads.com/home/223-5-56-info/223-5-56-reloading/wc-846-loads I have a company I deal with that offers sized 308 brass for a reasonable price, most of the 223 brass I save from annual qualifications...

That is a question that needs to be addressed, I know in my county, if we pick someone up for a Mental health warrant issued by the county and the subject has a pistol permit on file, the issuing agency has no knowledge of the pickup order and the firearm is left with the person... It all boils down to a failure to communicate between agencies just as this happened with intelligence sharing before 9-11 took place... It since has improved but is still flawed.. The other thing that is occuring is that todays HIPAA laws make information sharing next to impossible without consent.

Amen to that, sooner or later it all has to come to ahead...you can only go for so long until it all dries up..

Amen brother, I do feel for them all, My brother has severe autisim, and I made a promise to my father before he passed that I would look out for him, so I understand 100% what you are saying. These people who can not help themselves need assistance from our government ,not the scum bags that pop out kid after kid just to collect a check from the government when they can work. Our priorities in this country are so screwed up it sickening.

I forgot to mention that the original request stemmed from a request from one of our town councilmen, his wife works in the school... I'm sure he will get wind of this as his wife.

I did make this suggestion, I also requested him and his staff to attend the next active shooter training we will be performing in the school in the next couple of months, so he can see and understand what the Police role to an active shooter incident entails.

This kid had Aspergers syndrome, a form of Autisim, this disorder has become an epidemic in this country in the last 20 years and no one can figure out why... I have friends with children with autisim spectrum and they do have very difficult times with their kids, they want to make the kids feel normal and try to let them do what other kids do to make them feel normal, but with disorders such as these you have to have a huge support group and also a mental health professionals care and guidence to control children with this form of Autisim. I am curious to hear if the kid had any mental health support from the county or a personal mental health physician. It is such a tragedy what happened and my heart goes out to all the families....

I worked a day patrol today and I was asked by my Chief to stop in and make a round in our local school this morning, I was buzzed in by office staff and advised them that I would be making a round of the interior of the school, while making a round on the second floor area I was approached by the school Superintendent and asked if I had checked in with the front office? after that he made a comment that he did not want the Police presence or as he said a "Show of Force" in the school and asked if we can go downstairs to the office, so I agree with his request and we walk downstairs and instead of going to the office he opens the door and kindly shows me out.. He states that he does not want to upset anyone in the school, we chat for a few minutes about policy and I offer some suggestions and we part ways. My Chief calls up and asks if I made a round at the school and I explain what transpired... Needless to say Chief not happy and goes and sees the Supt. after the meeting the Chief explains that he stated my appearance was too Scarey because I wear an outter carrier balistic vest with "POLICE" on the panels and it was too intimidating... So the joke of the day was I am too scarey for school. Is he right or wrong about Police presence? I am not one to be offended easily so it did not matter to me either way, I can see his side about worring people but I can also see that people feel a sense of security from a Police presence.

Being LE myself my observation mirror yours, the so called system is so screwed up, be it, mental health, judicial, legislative etc. etc. no one wants to do their jobs, it's pass the buck to the next guy and hope it does not come back in your lap. No one is held accountable anymore, thats why you CYA.
