  2. US Springfield Musketoon, unsure if 58 or 69 caliber, smoothbore, Believe it's an Artillery model? correct me if I am wrong, Side plate shows date of 1853 but the number 5 looks light compared to the other numbers, wood is in excellent condition and appears all original to the gun, Eagle with US on right plate is not that visible, brass fixtures look in great shape, unsure if the ramrod is original or not, appears to be correct to me. screws look in great condition, maybe a few with light turn marks, barrel retains no bluing and has pitting throughout ,VP Proof mark at rear of barrel on left side, Trigger and hammer are all tight and functioning, lock up is tight on all three cocking settings. Price is $1,500.00 PM me if you have any interest.
  3. I am handling a sale of a very large collection of fine antique guns for a very dear friend who is not doing well, the collection includes some amazing Winchesters, Colts, Sharps, military long guns and revolvers. The picture is for reference, some are spoken for others are for sale, I will be adding information on the guns that are not spoken for as of yet, I will offer these up to the collectors here before listing on Gunbroker. Reasonable offers are welcome also. Terry
  4. The gas system on these conversions have been shortened as well as the barrels by Beretta, Hence the shortened hand guards. And I am doing well , been enjoying retirement!
  5. Hold off, hearing a bunch are coming into CMP shortly, Hopefully they are in great condition.
  6. Here is my sons latest purchase CQB with Vortex Venom red dot sight, nice rifle, but don't like the fact that the rear iron sights are blocked by the optic, I always like to have my iron sights available.
  7. My recent addition to my collection, Beretta BM-59 (Semi) 7.62x51 , U.S. Springfield Armory receiver. Haven't had a chance to put it on paper yet, hopefully soon.
  8. There are repro's out there of the mounts for around $400.00 , an original Griffin and Howe mount are hard to come by and the ones that I have seen have been from 1k up, best bet would be keep an eye on ebay, I have seen them come up from time to time. M84 scopes are also expensive if original , beware of fakes, STITH Kollmorgen scopes have sold for 3-4K Here is my M1D, I also have another M1 that's possibly a C version that was possibly converted by the USMC in the early 50's , have tried to find out for sure ,contacted Springfield as well as the USMC museum for info , all I was able to obtain was a reply of possibly, without documentation from the USMC it's only 50/50 chance is what the curator at USMC museum told me.
  9. Looking for a original stock for a Springfield Model 1922 MKII.

  19. Not an option in my neck of the woods, lakes are some distance from me to drag a shack around, and they don't allow you to set up and leave it in this area.. But I like the idea.
  20. Fux Sean Penn, liberal shitbag, can you say Cartel soup in a 55 gallon drum?
  21. Thanks for the well wishes, been keeping busy catching up on my reloading and cleaning.........My guns that is!! trying to keep out of mommas hair has been somewhat challenging to say the least, too cold to hide in the shop and do any wrenching with out the help of my friend Jack to keep me warm.......and that's Jack Daniels Whiskey, not some dude named Jack...lol , Was considering getting out to do some Ice fishing until I step outside and feel the bitter cold, too many injuries and surgeries over the years doesn't make the cold enjoyable, guess will wait for Spring to do some fly fishing and get some range time in.. Off to Vegas Monday for a week of Guns, Booze, kicking some dude in the nuts on the street for twenty bucks.. (true story!) , I am enjoying hunting down some vintage Colts and selling some guns to keep me busy, didn't win the Powerball, so no 100 acre compound in the works, as long as we have our health and family everything else is trivial. Thanks again! PS, Robo, no worries brother, keep safe , be alert and your time will be here before you know it, same to Edge and the rest of my brothers in blue out there.
