How is the Falcon for repeatability? have heard mixed reviews about longevity too. hows yours holding up? was seriously thinking of picking one up till the vortex pst hits the market.
Was able to hit the range for a short time today with my build. It's been awhile since I've driven a gas gun. the Geiselle DMR is so smooth crisp. here's my results, got some bench time to work on, that's for sure. The 1st target was getting it on paper at 50yrds. 2nd is at 100 yrds andThe 3rd target groups are top, bottom, middle at 100 yrds and the last one is at 200 yrds. I was using 175gr GMM factory ammo
I have an xm177 style CAR with a 1-9 twist, its just my preban fun gun to go out and waste ammo, don't really need match grade. But thanks for the heads up
Hey thanks for the advice and pic of the pelican case Panther, I decided to go with that one. And please, don't ask about the scope, I'm embarrassed to have it on there. But I need glass until my Viper PST is available.
I have a friend who shot a lot of this in his AR. He started have ejection and chambering problems. he found that the polymer coating was melting in a hot chamber. the only way he could fix it was for a gunsmith to run a finish reamer in the chamber to scape it out. since then, I wont touch the stuff in a semi-auto. But thanks for the link anyways :D
Its a Ferret 50 upper w/36" bbl on a Rogue 50 lower. It's not bad at all, more of a push then a kick. The way the brake is designed it takes a lot of the recoil out. But you have to keep it tight in your shoulder or it will pull away slightly then really hammer you, learned that lesson shooting the Barret in the USMC.
I chose to go the do it yourself route and used their 80% lower came out perfect. And yes they do sell to john Q, Give them a call, Like I said, great people to deal with.
http://www.tacticalmachining.com/products.php?pid=41#images/372_247-308-lower-final.jpg TM is a great company with a great product line, and A+ on customer service. this lower should be off list but not being from Cali, I don't know, good luck.
This range is at Bath NY, they have a 150 yrd berm and a 200. They have a covered shooting line but the tables kind of suck. This is me shooting the 50 cal at 150.
cant seem to figure out how to embed here?
Not any more, the new PC phrase is Climate Change!! So now they're covered from all angles. Yesterday it was warm and sunny, today its cold and damp, there for , the climate changed, see how that works.... :P
