  1. I will have to always remember this tactic.
  2. Got ya, so when you talk about timing the barrel nut to fit a handguard is just because the barrel nut fit in such a way that the handguard did not fit properly? I still have much to learn.

  4. Well even if I did take some off it would of made things a hell of a lot easier. Now what the heck is all this talk about timing? Is it something I am suppose to be doing?
  5. I noticed you saying you was getting you MB timed in another thread. What does this do? Why is it done?
  6. Thanks for the info I will remember it for sure! I got it, I went out to my shop and looked around and I came across an old wooden vise so I took a paddle bit and cut me a 5/8 hole glued in some plumbing rubber gasket material and clamped the barrel down then moved it to the vise. I then took and tightened and loosened several times and had little luck then all of a sudden I very very slowly tightened the break untill I had it right. I did sctratch the break up a little from the wrench being taken on and off. I will load pictures in a few. Also I should have my ammo by the 15th so I hope the Range is ready for me.
  7. I have no block vice. I am going to make one out of some wood and rubber. Also I understand then tighten and loosen sstem, but would I be better off using a shim set to get it exactly where I want it?
  8. OK guys, I have now my first problem with my build. I am down to the final assy and the damn crush washer is giving my trouble. I will try to load a picture later , but for now here is my problem. The break I have allows the flash and excess whatever to go out the sides and on the upper ( or lower side) there are 2 small holes I want them at the top s if ever in the prone dust is not blowing up and the muzzle is staying down. The washers I got from brownells and it was the thinner of the 2 I saw. How much pressure does it take to crush the washer? All I need is a 1/4 of a turn to get the break where I wnt it.

  15. I know your pain! I had my first hand gun stolen. It was a Ruger P89 45 that was almost 20 years ago and I still get a letter from the county that they are still looking for it. I do not have the serial number on hand right now , but I am going to get it from the Sheriffis dept and run it on this site. I to have gotten smarter and now keep a detailed record of all firearms in the fileing.

  19. tHEN YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY TO KNOW i FOUND THIS Reply Knight's Armament Administrator says: June 11, 2011 at 08:08 Barry, first off thank you for your interest in our product, and to be honest they are already available to the public. Our shopping area has not been updated so I apologize for any issues concerning purchasing them. If you contact our Commercial Sales Department they will gladly help you. Do not quote me but I believe the sights are approximately $150.00 a piece. My question is going to be can they be placed on eather side of the rifle with no issues for left and right handed shooters. I do like the idea of these sights but they are pricey to me.
  20. How much higher would you need the scope to be for the gen 1s to fit? This will give me an idea when I figure out how much thinner the gen 2s are and if I need o get the 1.93. That would give me ruffly 3/8s inch high but I would prefer to have the lower profile mount.
  21. Yall need to get some yhm anti-rotation screws. YHM-9434 I know I am picky..lol
  22. Survial how far is the center axis of your scope from the rail? I am looking using the Larue spr 1.5 but I also am going to use the gen 2 magpul buis under the scope. I am now woundering if I need to use the spr 1.93
  23. Where do I find the discount codes? Here? Also do you know of anyone whom may make a scope mount that will release and just hing over away from the ejection port?
  24. will do for sure . thanks
