  1. Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!
  2. Great!!! I also found them at Cheaper than Dirt for $39.97
  3. It should work the way it is. Maybe your buffer is to long and won't let the bolt carrier come back far enough.
  4. I can only hunt with a 5 round mag here in South Dakota. That does not include predators, just deer and antelope. I would like to get a couple. I have seen people put a block in an AR15 .223 mag, but not sure what to use to block it with. I have Magpul 20 rounders now. Maybe if I get a 10 round California compliant Magpul, I could make a block like they have inside it, but longer?
  5. I am not sure exactly what you mean about the modification to the bolt stop? I would say replace a part that has been modified for some reason, as I see no need to modify something like that?

Nice setup!!!! How do you like the bipod?
  7. I just finished this up. Got my scope mount today and only need to get a scope to finish it up. Had a few problems with extracting, but it all cleared up after 40 rounds. I just pointed it down range to test fire for function. I could list out all I have on it, but I will just let you ask questions if you want to. The inside has a JP Bolt and Carrrier and a buffer and spring from HeavyBuffers.com. Have a good one!!! Sorry about the terrible pics, but I am working on getting a setup for the proper lighting to take some better ones. <thumbsup>
  8. I think we are both on the right track! I cleaned mine up real good and gave it a heavy dose of Lube and It ran 20 rounds without a hicup!
  9. I just shot my new build 5 minutes ago. It had a similar problem? I did not check headspace beforehand? I was thinking it was just getting dirty in the chamber, but it should not be that tight. I believe I will have to check the headspace and verify that this is or is not the problem. Mine stopped ejecting after about 10 rounds also, the empty case would stay in the chamber and it would try to feed another round in. I would then pull the mag out and rack the bolt onto the empty case and it was tough to pull it out. Not sure, but I am going to clean it up and just rack several rounds through it manually with the charging handle and see how hard it is to extract. If its not to difficult, I would say it is the headspace, I guess? I am not to familiar with headspacing? Any thoughts for us here from anyone? Thanks and I don't mean to hijack your thread!
  10. Brownells either sells this one or one like it. <thumbsup>
  11. Now I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger tomorrow after reading that statment above. I was assuming that ar15's and AR.308's were brassieres the same way. I've built several ar15's and never worried about headspacing and just fired them. They all were fine?
  12. I just went to town and found this. I have not even opened the cover yet. I thought that everyone would like to get some quality bathroom reading in!!! <thumbsup>
  13. I better wear full body and head armor when I pull the trigger on mine for the first time tomorrow!! If you do not hear from me after tomorrow, well, you told me so!!! :(

  22. I believe imschur is working on that right now, here on this site. He will be around here later and let you know. In the meantime, you can just look around and see what you like and then determine what style you what to go with. This is what I did. I just am now finishing my first .308 build and I am loving it. Have a good one and don't hesitate to ask any questions. Their are some guys on here that are full of info for you. I may be able to help out a little...Have a good one!!!
