I'm Jealous!!!

My wife and I flew into Minneapolis, MN Thurs and today she said it was my day to shop. So, she took me around to all the gun shops that I wanted. I did not but to much, but picked up another 20 rnd PMAG and a BCM Gunfighter charging handle for the .308. She is so nice!!!

My wife just said this morning, "I did not know you had another AR" (.308) I just said "Ya I have had it for awhile and I just got it fixed and have it out now" It worked, as that is true!!!

Yes, I have an extra Bolt catch for a .308 AR. I think I better build another one, cuz I have this piece! I am sure the wife would understand how that works!!!

What do you mean with the Dark Earth on them? They do not make the mag in dark earth? But, I found out a friend of mine does the Duracote right here in my home town.

Another solution is the way I went. The JP Tension pin. You can eliminate the problem with the spring not working with the MIAD and you will have no play between the upper and lower. I just see it as a win/win solution. It does take just a bit longer to take the upper off, but I am never in a hurry to do this, so I am good with it. But, breaking that off in the hole really sucks!!! You will figure it out somehow, it what we do when we hit a problem working on these guns!!! I hope yo get it out of there!

Yes, the gap is smaller. If you look close at where the curved part stops toward the grip, the gip does not go completely flush with the receiver. That is the reason I said it does not fit the greatest. It is still rock solid though. Also, you can see I fixed the problem with the spring not working with the MIAD grip, as I took it out and replaced the rear takedown pin with a JP tensioning pin. There is no wobble at all now between the upper and lower.

It does not fit perfect with the filler piece Magpul makes, but I guess it makes it look a little better?

Now that is something I could throw on my .308 AR and take a Coyote that comes in to my call at say, 20 yards!! I have got a coyote to come as close as 5 yards before knowing he was in Deep poop!!! I put like 5 .223 55 grainers in him before he could turn and run 5 feet. I think I will give these sights a try!!!!

Cancel that thought, I found the old for sale post and it is a Rock River Arms Charging handle. Now for your situation? I would think it is the wrong buffer and spring? Take the buffer and spring out and see how far you can get the handle to pull the bolt back. If it works, it is the buffer and spring. The buffer is slightly longer on a AR15 Carbine setup, so you might want to measure your buffer and I can measure mine and let you know what the length is.

This could be an explanation to the Charging handle I have? I have one that is about a 1/2" longer than all others and I believe it is for a LAR setup? Maybe?

I wish Magpul would come out with the Flat Dark Earth 20 round .308 mags? I may have to send a mag in to get it Dura coated!
