  1. The bolt will not lock back with a single round in magazine Try all the magazines you have . I have tried 5 different magazines all do the same thing -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joe if it wont lock back on any mag you got a gas problem mostly...did you give it the "blow test"? Do you know for sure you are using an armalite gas tube thats in good shape.. Also...what buffer tube and stock is on it? that can make a difference you gotta resolve one problem at a time....if you got good flow in the gas tube and its got good transfer into the bgc....then you can start looking at the "other end"....buffer tube.spring, buffer In all my years of puttin together ar's.....I only had one fubar that drove me nuts.....It was on a 6.8 last year that would not lock back cant tell you how many hours i messed with it....rebuilt it too many times...the thing would not lock back after changing part after part . so the very last thing I could think of was the buffer tube I got off of Ebay....it was mis machined on the inside and was too short causing all the grief....the wall in the garage at the old home took a carrier hit right between the studs....so the moral is dont buy crap and when trying to solve a problem do one thing at a time .....give good info to the forum members...and then listen to what they suggest :) Wash

Exactly like 98Z said ! ^^^^^ you gotta go back to basics and one change at a time....soooo u said u miked the postion of gasport and gas block...doesnt make a rats azz....break down the upper from the lower...remove the bcg...plug up the chamber (finger,rag,sumthin) and squirt compressed air down the barrel from the muzzle end....or do like I do...the poor mans way...wrap your lips around the muzzle/brake being sure no air escapes the brake,and you should have a nice flow....but to be sure of full flow loosen the gb and kinda move it around both fore and back to see if the flow increases while the air is running out the gas tube....full flow is what you want while not torquing/flexing the gas tube... #2 like Shibi said....muzzle down..drop the bcg,,,it should go into almost full battery....charging handle should slide right into the gas tube... as for the stock/ buffer system...put it all back to stock.....also seems like u got a mag prob going but you wont know till she locks back on one round now go wash your mouth out :) Wash yeah....I know I left myself open on this one :)

    Sketch a 2 lb brisket will cook pretty fast less than 4 hours if you are cookin at 225/250....put the rub on nite before inject some beef broth and a touch of westershire okay,so you gotta have smoke....make a vessel...maybe foil/ or use stainless steel screen.....pellets for a pellet smoker would burn the slowest and would be easy to fire up.....placement...i dunno cause i dunno what you got....hold on lemme go look at something :) Wash read it all http://kalamazoogourmet.com/lifestyle/resources/grilling-techniques/smoking-techniques/ you tube http://youtu.be/pq3kRR6x3FA

J I wouldnt be clamping my rifle in a vice and trying to wiggle the forend.....not a real sound idea. use a torque wrench to tighten the barrel nut....and then leave it alone put the handguard back per mfg instructions :) Wash go get a 5/8x1/2x1/16 o ring at hardware store and place it on the front post //takedown of your upper....that will snug it up....dont need no stinkin accu wedge

Hey J at 100 you ought to have just one big ol hole....get yourself some privi match 168 and get the barrel nut tight..even 80 lbs on the torque wrench is fine...most of mine line up bout 60 or so I was at the range Friday shooting two of my rainier 16" barrels out to 500 using a nikon 308 bdc on one and a monach ed with custom turret for 168 on the other......fired 60 rounds out of the nikon 308 and never missed a swinger it aint the barrel...well im fairly sure....and your scope might be a problemo too :) Wash

    So after a 7 hour cook...cash me in...im done foiled the last 2 hours at 275 til the brisket was 197...then put it in the beer cooler for an hour with towels...dinner served man you guys need to get the Black Ops rub...best ive ever used, and then get ya some of Rod Grey's pellet envy Kc bbq sauce...damn best sauce ive ever tasted...sweet and spicey burnt ends

    4 hours in... meats at 155 time to crank up to 275 on the smoker :) Wash nice bark forming....Black Ops....lol take it off at 200/205......let it rest for an hour

    A packer is a whole brisket consisting of a pointy fatty end and then a long flat....the flat is the tight grain sliced bbq beef....the point is the muscle at the other end thats got good fat and tender meat...its what you make burnt ends out of,,,,little cubes of tender burnt pieces of bbq candy here it is just prior to puttin on smoker at 250 for an hour then kicked it back to 215 for the rest of the cook :) Wash injecting with beef bouilon and westershire on the smoker ready to go using pecan and hickory in smoke daddy

    Brisket tomorrow....the start ...rule #1 be friends with your butcher We wanted to do brisket point tomorrow so go to the grocery store lookin for a brisket point...they had none, and my butcher shop doesnt sell just points...so the butcher at the grocery store was there.....he's a nice guy he's cut some steaks for me...so i asked him if he had any packers in the back and would he cut off the point for me? no problemo he tells me...come on back in the freezer area and pick a packer out so i did and he whacks off the point and trims it up real nice ....im jonesing to use this Black Ops rub...so here goes prep...geez this rub smells awesome ! :) Wash rubbed down and in the fridge

Greg what did you have done? hate to tell you this....but I had double knee replacements on the same day..... on day 31 I was climbing ladders at work...but im stooopid too.... :) Wash its all in the rehab...if they say gimme 10 of this...give em 20....if they say gimme 5...give em 10...pain is pain but its worth it...

Hi Edge Much needed rain all day...calling for rain tonite...man we need this...trying to go to the range tomorrow,but they got hammered 50 miles north.....My bestest friend that I helped him assemble 4 ar's 2-308's and 2- 762x39's wants to go try em out...but I think its a no go...How you been doing ...you healing up real nice? :) Wash
