  9. follow the directions and be patient....the lin speed will actually go into the grain the first coats are important...the wood will fuzz up and freeze...thats what you want.....what i did was apply let dry sand back...apply let dry sand back.....well thats the drill.....i didnt use steel wool...or boiled linseed at any time...i used fine grit sandpaper.....then after that i rubbed it in with my palm.....the coating is in the wood...only a micrometer is on the outside.....hard to explain but my what a durable purdy finish Wash

  11. Hi GS I didnt know that RR was okay with the milsurp..i was just looking out for you...didnt want you to have your warranty voided thats all :) Wash
  12. heres the one for dpms ill bet RR has somewhat of the same policy :) Wash "After extensive testing, we have found that only ammunition manufactured to SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute) specifications is reliable in DPMS rifles. DPMS recommends the use of high quality, domestically produced ammunition for best results and highest accuracy. For plinking and practice, we recommend only domestic, commercially manufactured ammunition. Please note: the use of hand-loaded ammunition voids the factory warranty. The use of all ammunition listed below also voids the warranty. We have incurred feeding problems with the following: Israeli ammunition Korean ammunition Chilean ammunition Portugese ammunition"
  13. Correct me if im wrong, but doesnt RR have a diatribe on their website that sez if you shoot such and such ammo out of your rifle it voids the warranty? Or is that another ar mfg company? If it was me I wouldnt be sending any of that junk milsurp brass to them...just sayin :) Wash

  18. Jon i waited a year for a gal give up her p-mag.....it wasnt proper either :) moral of the story.....if its new and tight....use fresh shiney ammo with lots of lube......not old corroded foreign ball ammo cause if you do all you will get is a rim job like the first pic :) Wash
  19. Hi GS that milsurp you got there is some old crummy ammo in my opinion....you have a brand new sweet expensive rifle...with a tight new chamber....why dont you shoot some nice 308 ammo while its breaking in? your problems will prolly go away :) Wash
