I'm looking for ripstop, light weight BDU'S (or equivalent) in woodland or deciduous forest colors. I went out in the hills of southern Ohio for 7 hours today, upper 80's, high humidity, and NO WIND. I did have some forethought and froze several bottles of water. I then place the bottles in the magazine pouches, kept me a bit cooler.
  2. Wash, Our LGS had the American Eagle 168 grain for the M1A on sale for 15 bucks a box. It has been working well in my gun and giving fair groups.

Anyone have a good source for ordering military clothing? I've been to Ranger Joe's and U.S Calvary's web sites.

Thanks, opinions are what I'm looking for. I am looking for anything that works real people or tactical. Where did you buy the Remington camo? Yesterday it was 95 degrees and high humidity here in central Ohio. Sitting in a heavily treed valley, it gets really uncomfortable.

I am looking for some camouflage clothing that is "comfortable" in the summer. Anyone out there have any thoughts?
  6. Correct they are not as effective as a roll and stuff in your ear foam. However you can easily carry on a conversation.
  7. They work well and the little red plug blocks the softer noise, like snoring, like when she rolls over and cuddles in to snore right in your ear...and their comfortable.
  8. Even better Sinclair's has one, http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/sid=67328/pid=40914/Product/SINCLAIR_AR_10_ROD_GUIDE_308_WIN
  9. I second the matching set.
  10. After I anchored mine to the wall and floor, I sealed all of the bolt holes and put weather stripping on the door. I keep several containers of desiccant gel in there to keep everything dry. I didn't buy any of the desiccant just collected it from all of the small packs they throw into everything...and I put gun socks one all of them. I might be going overboard but this is an expensive hobby and I want to keep them in the best possible condition. imschur, What is a GSD?
  11. Nice safe and elevating it is a really good idea. I would recommend, before anchoring it to the wall, installing a small (5-20) watt light inside the safe. When its dark the damn things breed like rabbits in the spring and before you know you need another safe. ;D
  12. I have seen the same with my rimfire guns also.
  13. I know this is an old thread, Natchez has Eagle Tactical bag on sale,
  14. I sprayed my gas tube black with this, http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=1117/Product/ALUMA_HYDE_reg__II I also did some aluminum mags for the AR-15, came out great and has held up.
  15. I place s paper towel under the muzzle and stand the barrel up in a corner. Then use a glass eyedropper and dribbled it down the barrel. This has been the most effective method for cleaning my Savage barrels. I swear, with Savage Rifles, half the bullet weight gets stripped off by the tooling marks in the barrel
  16. I fired 50 rounds on Saturday and decided to put some ProShot Copper remover down the bore. I was surprised how much copper came out. I wonder if I should polish the bore and redo the break-in.
  17. First off I would take the mallet to the Range Officers knuckles! Ya don't force anything! Everything dealing with this hobby is about physics. What is it about the ammo that can cause this issue. What is the diameter of the projectile? What is the OAL? What is the FPS? et. Somewhere is the answer to why it blew.
  18. The bore polish I use when the guns are new and sometimes for hard fouling
  19. 250 meter, 8" target, American Eagle 168 grain for the M1A (OMT), 11-15 MPH at 3 O'clock.
  20. KROIL, I have been using this stuff on all of my firearms. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=1159/Product/J_B_reg__BORE_COMPOUND___KROIL Let it sit in a smooth bore over night and the melted wadding and carbon come out in chunks. My rimfire's get the same treatment at the end of hunting season..also great for the dried grease on antiques.
  21. I can empathize with your dilemma.
  22. 250 meters
  23. "Bored"? go shoot something....
  24. I forgot my micrometer, thumb was the only thing I could think of... <dontknow>
