  1. IMHO, Armalite, LaRue, LMTC
  2. There is that much of a difference between how one magazine feeds and the other?
  3. Does this mean the Armalite will compete for U.S. military 7.62NATO contracts now?
  4. I can report that at our range (open, no awning) the AAC Blackout Brake didn't seem too bad. My wife has one on her 5.56, and I didn't think her's was too bad either (just for reference for those wondering about the 5.56 model.) I have, so far, had no complaints. But it would have to be a really busy day to fill all the benches at the club I belong to. So I have no other experience as far as having a stranger sit down at the next bench over.
  5. I love how behind the times I am with this stuff. I just found this. IMHO, I'd rather spend $30 on a B.A.D. from Magpul. I'm right handed, primarily. I'm sure I'm echoing what's already been said, but what if I don't want to drop my magazine to clear a malfunction? The B.A.D. let's you do that and maintain fire control. With this, you still have to change up hands. Aside from that, I like that he's wearing Multicam in the video. It lends weight to what he'd presenting. <lmao>
  6. That figures. I've had my AR10A4C for a year. How different? Can I run my AR10A4C over there and have it modified? Uncle Armalite, where are you????
  7. On the cover, but no where inside. WTF? I don't know. I think I'll stick with what I have. It would be nice. I mean, I'd just buy a lower and change my stuff over. But then I've got a lower an 11 magazines with no home.
  8. I don't want this to come across wrong, but I said BRAKE, not FLASH HIDER. I'm well aware of the difference. Advanced Armament Corp does have both a "Blackout" flash hider and a brake. There is a big difference between the brake from JP and the AAC unit. JP is just a brake, AAC is a brake AND a can mount. This:
  9. Ok, even though I pretty much can guess the answer, is it possible to jump through a bunch of legal hoops and build and SBR in Illinois? And if so, anyone know how it's done? ~Ray Gun 1 9
  10. As I don't have the new catalog, anyone care to elaborate?
  11. I was concerned about this as well when I got my AAC Blackout brake for my AR10. The first time I went, my wife and a buddy went with me. They were both off to my left. After letting a few rounds fly, I inquired as to how bad the concussion and blast was. Nada. They both said it wasn't even noticeable. I suppose if someone was shooting within two feet of me, it might be different. Her bench was about 4-5 feet from me. In a CQB environment it might be bad. But if that was the case, I suppose I might have my can on anyway.
  12. Ok. You've got my attention. How does it handle? Accuracy?
  13. I know where there is a lower for $199. Good price? Or do maybe an older model? Is there even a difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 lowers?
  14. Haven't heard about you shooting it yet (unless I missed that post). What do you think?
  15. Anyone have a photo(s) of an AR10 SBR? I'm wondering how accurately they would shoot. Like something with an 11.5" or 14" barrel. Say, to 200 or 300 yards. I can only fantasize about owning an SBR here in the Socialist Republic of Illinois. But I've always wondered.
  16. When will you have the decals?
  17. Another reason to buy from these guys. Customer service like no other (well, maybe Armalite ;D )
  18. Just thought I'd bring this one to the top again. I know the discount no longer applies. So be warned. But the bundle package is still awesome at the price, and free shipping. I just put a lower (M4) together for a friend and he ordered the bundle Ambi Safety + Geiselle SSA. Got here from Pa faster than the Bronelles order from Iowa! Fit and finish were awesome. Both operate flawlessly. Be sure you guys are supporting Battle Arms.
  19. One thing that would start to suck though would be finding (like at a gun show) the P-Mag, and not paying attention to what rifle it fits. I recognize AR10 magazines by the number and order of flutes.
  20. Illinois CCP goes up again in March I guess. We'll see. The Gubner says he will veto any bill for CCP that passes and comes up for his signature. Of course, he says that while surrounded by no less than 4 armed body guards. >:(
  21. After looking at a few P-Mags for the wives 5.56 rifle, and weighing them, and hearing about the lips bending if they are loaded for very long without the snap cover, I'll stick to my Armalite magazines. I never had problem with my issued magazines. There just isn't enough difference in weight between the P-Mag and an issued magazine when loaded for me to care anymore. I just don't get to be part of the "in crowd" maybe. <laughs>
  22. So, does this mean Illinois residents will finally be able to get a CCP?
  23. AWESOME! ordered!
