it's a machine gun or it it isn't, regardless what gun you put it in. I fully support forced reset triggers for handguns, even though I have no interest in owning one. Not sure how ATF can tell them not to develop it for certain platforms. either the trigger is legal by their definition, and they can kick rocks, or it's not, and they can continue the courtroom bs. but my issue was with the the part where they agreed to go after anyone else developing similar technology as a part of their dismissal deal....according to the other video. I hadn't seen that anywhere else, so if that video was inaccurate, it's a non-issue. If they did sign on to that, it's shitty. seems like a lot of compromises were made when it looked like they were about to win free and clear. I'm not a fan of 2A compromises.

it's one thing to protect your copyright, it's another to make it part of your deal with the devil to stop litigating you. they are basically saying "we will stop coming after you, as long as you help us crush anyone else who dares to come up with their own version" If that's how it went down, that it's basically akin to being on the ATF payroll.

if RB agreed to "aggressively protect its copyright" in order to get the win, they are punks. Sounds like a deal with the devil. Like the CIA helping one cartel as long as they agree to kill off the others....Or big gov funding and training a certain terror group as long as they agree to go after the government we want destroyed. I hope RB understands how these deals always end. Devil always comes after his "friends" after they do his dirty work.

mine is a 300 mainly because the bigger ones were exponentially more expensive. I'd probably go with a 1000 if I found a deal on one. could probably run a little fridge off that for a while.

I just sent that link to one of my coworkers who was planning a camping trip. smokin deal on that. the 300w generator isn't quite enough to run appliances, but it can damn sure run light kits and keep most small things charged for the whole week.

hell yeah. I thought I left a comment on that video when he posted it.

dang. I reconfigured my FRT gun a while back. I need a new lower to build lol.

this chaos and destabilization is actually the desired result. US/EU interference is what creates most of the military conflict around the planet. gives our corporations and politicians the opportunity to get in and start fleecing.

problem is, those fckers that are doing this are the "moderate rebels" that we backed for years, while pushing Assad out of power. he may have been a dick, but he kept the peace as best as could be expected. just like Saddam and Gaddafi. Poroshenko in Ukraine. Syria had the highest population of Christians in the region before the CIA went in and did its bullpoopy 12 years ago. the videos I've seen the past few days are heart wrenching. kids dragged into the streets and machine gunned by laughing men because they went to the wrong mosque. supposedly the UN is in country now but the regime is blaming "terrorists pretending to be government troops" it's sickening. I made my wife cry watching some of the videos trying to show her why my faith in our species has been gone for a long time.

Took us 10 years to finally get rid of that bastard Assad. Im sure everything will be great now! video NSFW. IMG_5843.mov

Trump Executive Order Protecting 2A
blue109 replied to 98Z5V's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
The down side being anything trump does is going to be shredded the instant he's out of office. Executive orders don't hold much weight. -
That would be cool. I read that using activated charcoal works better as it's more porous and captures more contaminants, but I wanted to see how well the natural way would work. Additionally, the kid looked like a coal miner when he finished pulverizing the charred firewood and it was hilarious. Couldn't stop laughing. Totally worth it.

No....I did not drink any. it's a little early in the year to start burning sick days, and I'm not a fan of dysentery 😆 I also ran all samples over those "water quality test kits" with the little squares that change colors. there wasnt much difference between any of the samples. I even tested those against my tap water. Slight difference in Alkalinity, PH, Nitrate levels, but those don't really apply to an emergency situation, and even then the differences were small so I didn't bother to document it or include the results. Wifee and I went on a hike a few months ago that almost sucked. we tried a new trail someone told us about that ended up being WAY longer than we expected, and it was hotter than expected. Our water made it, but just barely. It was tapped by the time we got back to the truck....and only lasted that long because I had a feeling and filled an extra jug on our way out the door as a backup. After that I ordered some Life Straws and stuck them in the pack since there is usually a little bit of water in the canyon. I hated that feeling of uncertainty as I watched the water bottles get low with no real idea how much further we had to go.

@shepp mentioned this in another post, and I thought you guys might think this was cool. My boy (10yrs) had a science project and we decided to try to make a water filter. I wanted to do it authentic as possible as if we were stranded out in the desert. We initially collected water from 2 separate small park lakes in town. Both have fish and turtles, but they honestly didn't look very gross, and they reacted very slowly to the bacteria tests. I wanted something real yucky. Ended up finding an absolutely disgusting pond used to water cattle. Pure brown, stinky, cow poop. it was also in the same area we frequently hike and camp, and would be gathering our other supplies. Fine sand, rough sand, and gravel came from the dry river bed we like to hike. We burned harvested wood down to coals and then pulverized it. Used a plastic water jug as a housing. layered in order strip of T-shirt, fine sand, charcoal, fine sand, medium sand, gravel. We did a bacteria test with the raw water sample, our filter, and also a life straw and purification tablets. All test samples were taken at the same time, and stored in the same conditions. I was pretty floored by the results. Our homemade filter not only made the disgusting water perfectly clear and smell normal, but it actually filtered out the bacteria. The life straw also did an amazing job. the tablets killed the bacteria, but the sample was obviously still brown and stinky and probably wouldn't taste very good. Obviously, I'd still want to boil it again if it was reasonable to do so before drinking, but I think it would be ok in an emergency. it definitely gave me a warm and fuzzy about the life straws I keep for emergency use.

@shepp not a bad idea! it was pretty cool. Maybe I'll throw up a separate post tonight.
