Problem with factory taper pin setups is that they may only work well with that original block and set of pins. Installing a different block may not be as tight.

He posted a follow up where he puts a piece of ceramic tile in front of the armor and it doesn't punch through. Not sure what use that is other than to show it doesn't take too much to slow it down? Hey shep, might want to duct tape some flooring to your plate carrier just to be safe :D

Local guy does some not so scientific but entertaining tests. Worth a browse through his channel. Has a series on 308vs5.56.

Damage industries has a similar setup for 5.56 and AKs, but no big AR yet. Cool thing is they have different style brakes, and sleeves, and you can mix and match. Plus they are cheap and go on sale all the time. Really like these guys. http://damageindustriesllc.com/product-category/176

Secsy. SWFA had some great deals on rebranded seekins receiver sets. That stock looks way better with the extended pad on it. Gives it some substance.

So out of our relatively small sample, we have 2 bolts with bad extractor springs. Maybe something Dwilson needs to look into.

Yea...I'd probably stop with the drilling and make sure the bolt is working right. Hate troubleshooting several issues at once, but if it's locking back empty you are close.
