does look better in FDE. I'm willing to bet that several other companies have pistol braces in the works right now. I figure they will either make it look better, or just push too far and ruin it for everyone.

as you guys know...I'm not a fan of the man in my business. I've been adamant about no NFA stuff, but damn this would be a rockin little setup. sig brace is an option, and works with this damage industries tube, but lord it's ugly. well see how it plays out I guess.

ha! I scored this rail for $150 still new in box. I built the gun around the rail.

that front sight is kinda hard to find, and never on sale! rear sight is GG&G, same as on my 14.5 with the shorter VLTOR rail. I like keeping stuff similar. should be pretty sweet with that armasight reflex in FDE. I "visualized" this upper with a FDE A1stock, and I'm sold. already started research a NFA trust.

bunch o parts fell into my lap. 7.5" some yummy VLTOR stuff. had to steal the lower from my dissy (ahem...shib) soon as I picked it up, I knew I was going to have to sell out to the man and get a stamp. still needs a few choice parts, but here she is for the moment.

I pulled miss piggy out to compare, and on second glance your gun does look about right for a newer DPMS height. I just like any excuse to pull miss piggy out.

are you sure it's a factory DPMS upper? I could be wrong, but judging by the thickness of the metal over the charging handle slot it looks like it's the "old" DPMS height receiver. DPMS hasn't made those in a few years, but several other companies still use that height standard. it would be odd to buy a new DPMS upper and get the old style. again...this is just a guess from looking at that pic. my eyeball might not be calibrated.
