Sam.Uncle Tony died 1/2 hr. before super bowl @‌ 93.We have been to the oldest VFW,have you ? My father was out of Ft. Bliss. Will be there first week in April.

  6. I can't figureout what to change/break so brother toolndie can fix it..... I would love to be in the same room with ya to watch to magic. Just like I'd love to watch brother Larry work his magic on 1911's. :)
  7. Good luck brother, let us know how this plays out.One of the other guys here was having problems with the recoil system, hence the quarters in the extention tube.In changing to the Armalite system I found out that 1 Armalites extention tube was longer, spring was longer and buffer was longer and heavier than Aero's.When I called Aero tech support and told them the problem and fix he said he was unaware of issues of this type.On this fourm the recoil system has come up a few times.
  8. Hey isn't 50 cents bankrupt ?? BWAHAHHAHA Brother I changed the extention, spring and buffer to the Armalite system on my M5.Done.

  10. If I was going to try a piston it would probably be this one on the Adams arms concept http://www.huldraarms.com/uppers/category_c49edb98859a/ DI is a proven concept That I find no fault with what so ever. But I do have 2 lowers that could use an upper. :)
  11. I had the 20" Coyote damn nice rifle. That's what I traded for my Garand. What type of device are you going to put on??
  12. I forgot to mention that T.E. is throat erosion and M.E. is muzzel erosion.Fulton FAQ has a good explanation to the 2.You can get a rough one, rebarrel and restock it and you'r good to go.Finest rifle ever made, even though I love my AR's.
  13. Got lucky and found a Veteran that was looking to sell, instead I offered a for an AR which he accepted.Aside from going through a shooting club you can join the Garand collectors asscociation http://thegca.org/ this will allow you to buy from CMP.I got a 1942 American fork and hoe bayonet for the Garand there.Keep looking at Gunbroker and once in a while one will pop up in the $900.00 range. There is http://m1garandrifle.com/ ,http://www.fulton-armory.com/M1-Garand-Rifles.aspx and a few more.the barrel on mine is 11/55 and my birthdate is 10/55 it was just ment to be.I will eventually get one from Fulton Armory as they have the best deal for what I want in a new Garand.Just my 2 clips.
