  1. Winchell's!! DNP, the next time you do one of your Plaid Express trips over, Mike and I need some Winchell's Donuts! Last time I had those was on my way out of Eucaipa.
  2. Dunkin won coffee taste tests. Blind taste tests against that national burnt coffee brand.

    NCPC

National Crime Prevention Council. Heard two spots on the radio this morning, on the way to the grocery store. http://www.ncpc.org They were piggybacked, one right after the other. The first one talking about being a responsible gun owner and keeping your guns out of other people's hands, storing them properly. While I agree, I call BS on "The child at the park can play safe without having to worry if you locked your gun up." The second spot was BS. Making it sound like you are going to die by murder-rape-kill if you buy a second hand firearm from a private sale. Pure poop. Now, were these paid for before Trump got into office or are our tax dollars being used for silliness?
  4. You ARE Ranger Rick!
  5. One of the most brilliant market schemes ever. It used to be "stain less" steel. Then someone mushed the words together. Due to federal law requirements, stainless steel used in firearms must be magnetic and, therefore, can rust. The only parts rusting on my melonite coated XD pistols is the rear sight, from the sweat dripping off my fatass.
  6. Why did you go through the trouble to nickel plate your XD?
  7. No, Grasshopper. Not when using the correct medium-heat method. I have forgot to put in the filter basket holder on the Mr. Coffee. Nothing like thinking at 0400 "That coffee maker hasn't sounded right for a few minutes now," then turning on the kitchen light to the brown flood all over the counter, down the cabinets, and rolling across the floor. Finally learned after the third time.
  8. Hhmmm. Who would be stealing ammo in Oregon?
  9. Oh yeah. I have a Voodoo Tactical Shotgun Scabbard also. Covered in MOLLE mounts. I carry training stuff in that.
  10. http://www.voodootactical.net/molle-gear/padded-weapons-cases.html In my first Voodoo I can fit either one of my LAR-8 rifles, 30 loaded 20-round magazines, plus my Mossberg 930 SPX and over 100 rounds of buckshot and slugs. That's how I load it out. Usually. Due to the mounting systems inside the case, with a little ingenuity, you can fit a ton of smaller stuff. It came with a single shoulder strap (more than capable of sustaining that weight for extended periods of time), backpack straps, a dozen or more pockets that will fit .308 Win. sized mags and other stuff, heavy duty zippers: not the crappy thin gauge zippers that pull apart under the slightest strain. MOLLE system and D-rings further enhance your options. While the Voodoo cases retail for over $100, I got all of mine (and one of 98's) on sale for like $70 at Sportsman's Warehouse. Similar deals can be had elsewhere.
  11. Until he mechanizes it and Cali outlaws anything over 1# in weight.
  12. Welcome from Arizona!
  13. You need a colon cleanse too? TMI bro!
  14. Maybe we should bring some knife-fighting dummies on the trip, teach her some kitchen knife skills.
  15. /\/\/\/\ I'm wondering how many of the "bugs" and development issues have been disinformation.
  16. If that info is correct, then you saw a Lockheed P-38 Lightning, one of the first designs by Kelly Johnson. Germans called it der Gabelschwanz-Teufel/Fork-tailed Devil. Charles Lindbergh shot down a couple of Japanese planes while flying one, kept hush-hush because the civilian wasn't supposed to be in a combat zone. The P-38 had the ability to just kind of stop in a vertical position and "hover" momentarily, while an enemy pilot blew by, allowing the Lightning pilot to get immediately on their tail and blast them. Blast them with one 20mm cannon and four .50 BMGs, mounted in the nose for easy aiming. TPTB are pretty damn confident about the F-35, naming it Lightning II. To be fair, the P-38 had a very rocky start as well.
  17. True story. InRangeTV has a video of them eating Fireclean.
  18. Just talked to my brother. He said the same thing, F-35 doing some very impressive maneuvering.
  19. Voodoo. <<<<<<<period
  20. I guess anyone can come up with a "military" type name and start a "for the military" publication. http://www.defenseone.com/ideas/2017/02/trumps-dangerous-message-troops/135317/ The comments under that article are scathing.
  21. Looks like a dam may be ready to go. Stay on high ground brothers. http://www.cnbc.com/2017/02/09/concrete-erosion-at-major-california-dam-spillway-as-new-storm-system-arrives.html?__source=yahoo|finance|headline|headline|story&par=yahoo&doc=104272673&yptr=yahoo
  22. Muchas gracias! Can always use a backup.
  23. Agreed. Disagreed. I fill mine with water, put in the basket with coffee, turn on the stovetop to about medium, and go about my business for 10 minutes or so. What one of our enterprising machinists here needs to do is fabricate some stainless steel baskets/stems for these percolators.
  24. State BLM has been handing out BIG fines (something like $250 per piece of trash they see you shoot) at the Avra Valley spots. Red Rock had been patrolled by people living near by but word always gets out to the shitbags. Everyone, quit taking shitbags shooting. When you take anyone shooting, make them cleanup more than everything you brought. Set the precedent. Did that with one friend of mine, who's a shooting shitbag. Funny thing. He doesn't go shoot anymore. At all.
