Back in the '90s I hunted down cheap mags for anything I was running. On the Dissy, some of those things sucked so hard that they are now rust at the bottom of a cattle pond. Wasn't any plastic mags worth mentioning then.

Believe it or not, I've had a good number of students from the 4th Ave crowd. Doesn't take witnessing too many muggings and rapes first hand to change your view on carrying.
Okay...secondary question:
Are the plates of a universal size and dimension? Meaning, if I buy carrier X, will the plates provided by supplier M fit inside?
With either leather or kydex, you get what you pay for...to a point. I've seen the less expensive kydex snap when rolling around on the ground. The less expensive leather seems to wallow out with hard use.
