  4. Yup...the drugs, the food additives...all those in government either come from companies marketing the stuff or are promised jobs with them after they "retire". Jon
  5. It would really suck to sell truly useful items to get cash, then have the long-expected economic crash. Keep the gun stuff and buy toilet paper. Jon

  10. I quit taking prescribed meds because someone said to. My physician acts like I'm an irritant because I want them to think, not just dope me up. Had a blood clot caused by trauma back in 2007, in my portal vein, which transfers blood with nutrients from your small intestine to your liver for processing. BAD pain any time I ate. Finally went to emergency to get it diagnosed. In the hospital 5 days on IV heparin, got on rat poison for 6 months. They wanted to push morphine in the hospital. Tried it for one dose. fornicate that...still in pain but high. Finally got Tordol, IV ibuprofen. Still didn't like that but it worked. Talked to someone a year later, said back in the 1940s his grandpa had a heartattack at like 47 y/o. Man had been a teetotaler his whole life. The doctor prescribed grandpa 2-shots of whiskey a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Thinned his blood enough he lived to 97 or so. At the same time last year that my bro-in-law was diagnosed with high blood pressure and cholesterol, so was one of my wife's coworkers. I told BIL to try diet first. "No, the doctor said I have to be on medicines the rest of my life." Wifey's coworker told the doctor "fornicate off!" and changed her diet and started exercising. In 3 weeks she went from triple normal cholesterol to a few points high, and blood pressure normal. Except for rare conditions there is always a natural alternative...it is just a matter of having the time to do the research. Jon
  11. Bonus points to CT boys if you wear kilts to the protest! Jon

  16. Don't care either. I used to play their labelling game by their rules. You and I have to play by their rules, that they keep changing, and don't abide by. Jon

  19. They are in my mind. Amphetemine or methamphetamine, opium or heroin or oxycontin, etc. I started ditching the sorcerer's concoctions about 15 years ago. Nothing but trouble IMO. Jon
  20. Excellent! Let's carpool from Tucson. One of my friends wants to go also. Blue109, can you miss a little work to march for your rights? Jon
  21. You wouldn't believe the chains of drugs that doctors prescribe to SMI patients, fully 3/4s are to combat side effects of other drugs...if not more. We had a "client" in one group home that was on so many meds for side effects that they routinely barfed within an hour of taking meds. Why not more speed (meth) related shootings? Who knows...probably boils down to weapon availability and impulse control. Smoking meth in an alley, you freak out, there isn't a pistol there but there is a 2x4. Neither are any of the other drugs on their own, nor video games on their own, nor firearms on their own, nor the mental illness on its own. Mix them all up and there is the crapfest potential. Jon
  22. Yes! Now, how many people are out there on ANY drugs that are misdiagnosed? Jon
  23. On its own, no. Like I said above, those already experiencing psychological issues, which I don't believe AD/HD is. I'm talking borderline personality disorders, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder. Since before I started working with the SMI community back in '91 or '92, the "expert" researchers have been arguing over what used to be called "dual diagnosis" (it is something else now), that being were people mentally ill and attracted to drug use as self-medication or were they already in a fragile mental state, which snapped after using street drugs. Only one study I've seen mentioned attempted to correlate prescription drugs in youth to researching this theory. As with most anything that attempts to show a connection between Big Pharma and health issues, it was the only time I'd seen a mention of it. And even if Ritalin, Zoloft, Prozac, Paxil, Celexa, ARE used by millions upon millions of people safely every single day (and they are), that doesn't mean that they aren't a contributing factor in a chain of events. It is societal hypocrisy to say it isn't prescription drugs that are used by millions of people when just a few do bad things, yet we are willing to blame the illegal drug when a few of the millions of meth heads are the bad apples. But studies have been done with severly mentally ill that have been on street drugs...because that IS ok to study. I've seen hyperactive kids settle down when given a good dose of caffiene. Why aren't they prescribing espresso? follow the money Jon
  24. Combined with a psychological "fracture", common in already mentally ill teens, Ritalin can provide the little extra push needed into psychotic episodes. Or any other hard drug. The "experts" are still arguing about drugs and Severe Mental Illness. Jon
  25. Dang dude. <in a girly tone> "My name's Tom! Look at my wood! Play with my guns! Want to touch my pink?!" <laughs> You're killin' us bro! Jon
