  1. Perfect frickin' time to do a transfer case coupling kit! Bet you didn't price that now, did you Blanche! <laughs> Jon
  2. AZ has minimum requirements also. Can't meet 'em if you don't have ammo. Jon
  3. Darn good question! <munch> Jon
  4. Great! I can't see the pics either. Should be a pretty easy fix it sounds like. Jon
  5. ...and hints from Walmart. It is about to get more real than anyone imagined: http://gunssavelives.net/gear/breaking-wal-mart-suspends-ammunition-orders/ Jon
  6. You gonna need me to pick you up for February 8th? Jon
  7. Damn Houdini! Why don't you come over to my house and open some drawers? Jon
  8. During 2009 LE agencies around S. AZ were calling retailers, looking in vain for ammo to do qualifications with. TPD cut their training budget back then by 30%, MPD and OVPD ceased all firearms training, and PCSD was scrambling to find inventories of any kind of ammo. So, now it begs to question, what if Obama just issues an executive order to pull licensing for all ammunition and ammo component manufacturing, unless federally controlled LE/military are on the premises and all shipments go only to the feds? Jon
  9. I can't find the one study referenced by Coulter but did find this: http://www.canlaw.com/rights/factoids.htm Incredible. Jon
  10. That bites the big one! Pics, man, we need pics! Jon
  11. While lots of people made public the publisher's/editor's/reporter's addresses, I can't help but wonder if they are hypocrite gun-owning liberals that edited their own names off the list they published. Jon
  12. She's a tool, but in one of Ann Coulter's books she had stats from a study on criminals and prison inmates that were very enlightening. The study was started to prove that single mothers (single, not unmarried in a relationship, not separated from a man, not divorced, not widowed...modern culture "I'm single and don't need a male in my life" single) are just as good at raising children on their own as nuclear or better than dysfunctional families. The complete opposite findings resulted. Children of single mothers are WAY more likely to seek out drug use, to conduct petty crime, to become involved in violent crime, to be diagnosed with mental disorders, etc. When the checking to see if a criminal/inmate having only a single mother was checked, the statistics were VERY high...like high 70%s of evil doers were from single-mother homes. When corrected for RACE the percentages remained unchanged. Think about all the whining of inequality in the justice system, then look at that little nugget of info. I'll try to find the publishing of the actual study. Jon
  13. >:D Mmuuuuaaaaahhhhhahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Jon
  14. Or the legal beagles! http://newyork.newsday.com/news/nation/journal-news-gun-permit-map-used-by-burglars-to-target-white-plains-home-1.4441678 Punk-ass journalists! Jon
  15. You're going to have to swim across the river by the time we fence of Cali! <laughs> Stop in Yma and pick up some melons for me and Tom. <lmao> Jon
  16. Let's watch this one too, so we have something to gauge the SKS auction by: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=325665729 Jon
  17. Cali is flooded with Chinese. Jon
  18. 1911 magazines have more twists and turns than you would expect. I learned more from one thread than multiple 1911 books. This thread here: http://www.marlinowners.com/forum/handguns/54586-35-remingtons-1911-mags-facts-tweaks.html Jon
  19. Do a long one, like 10-day long. That way people will have all sorts of time to talk themselves into bidding higher. <thumbsup> Before someone starts in with the guilt trip, HEY! They should've had an SKS-esque rifle L-O-N-G before now...if they bid and win, it's their own damn fault. At least they get a nice (yet expensive) and reliable fighting weapon. Make sure to put the disclaimer in the ad "Non-paying bidders will be reported!" And "NO Sales to California, NY, NJ, Maryland, or CT!" Jon
  20. I would like to see him put on Gunbroker as a "penny auction", give us the link here so we can watch the entertainment. Jon
  21. You are way, WAY better off waiting at this point. Looked on Gunbroker a few days back. An LAR-8 STRIPPED lower, started at $50 with NO RESERVE was up to $1,250 with 3 minutes to go!!! You have a bargain coming! When it comes. Jon
  22. I've always liked Ruger firearms and the new company products and management. But Bill Ruger sold us out with his "Civilians don't need anything over 5-round magazines," statement. Glad the Ruger family is OUT and they have who is in now. Jon
  23. Watch his comparison of pump shotguns to semi-auto shotguns. He's blasting melons or jugs of water. When they explode he laughs in such a way that makes me want to go shoot jugs in the backyard. Jon
  24. A paratrooper should have a 16 1/2" barrel (IIRC) and a bit shorter stock. Most of the SKSs'es'es'es are the longer barrels. Can't really say much other than some people state that the milled USSR receivers are better than the other stamped receivers. IMO it doesn't matter, though the fit and finish on the milled versions I've handled is better. Bought my first Chinese SKS for $95 retail, my first milled Soviet for $65 wholesale. Both are way, WAY higher than that now. Jon
  25. I rarely go there and never as a member. The hyperbole is migrain inducing at best, with any legitimate question almost immediately pounced upon as being ignorant and stupid, then the rest of the vultures chime in. I'd rather pour salt in my eye. Jon
