  1. Mudbugs! You eat them things? Just kidding, I'm an old Kansas boy and have eaten a lot of crawfish. Good stuff! Used to sit on the riverbank with a cane pole and a piece of bacon fishing for them when I was a kid. While we're on the subject of cajun cooking, I once worked security for a blues guy by the name of Tab Benoit (maybe ya'll have heard of him?) and he cooked up some amazing alligator gumbo that we all shared after his concert!
  2. What edgecrusher said, blow him off! He's not showing you any loyalty by dragging his ass on your order, you don't owe him any loyalty!
  3. Cool! <thumbsup>
  4. No Fail, you can get the P Mags from Brownells for $19.99 each.
  5. Nice review! <thumbsup>.............how was Blazing Saddles? <munch>
  6. I understand! <thumbsup> Blazing Saddles is a classic, right up there with Monty Python and the Holy Grail!
  7. I haven'r seen it, but being a 1911 'smith if you want to send it to me I'll review it for you! <munch>
  8. No prob Glockslap! I sat here and racked my brain, but could not figure out the FH for the life of me. I knew once someone posted it I would feel like a dumb azz, and I do! <laughs>
  9. I agree. I had to use a propane torch to heat up the handguard on my LR308 in order to get it loose. The heat didn't affect the finish at all.
  10. What the hell is an FH?
  11. Damn, first time I've seen you at a loss for words brother! You okay? <munch>
  12. Check this out, a double barrel 1911 or, as the manufacturer calls it, the 2011-A1! http://www.arsenalfirearms.com/products/af-2011-a1-double-barrel-pistol
  13. You can't beat the peace of mind a safe gives you when you leave the house knowing that your guns are locked safely away from all but the most determined individuals. Nothing is theft proof, but a safe will stop 99.9% of the people who want to separate you from your guns. <thumbsup>
  14. Hmmm, I've put 160 rnds. of Tula steel cased ammo through my 308 with no problems whatsoever. That being said though, a friend of mine just got me 1100 rnds. of WCC 308 brass from the mil. base where he works and I'll be rolling my own shortly.
  15. Three things, the first was a sweet little 64 Chevy Malibu with a 327 & 4 speed that I had when I was 19, the second was a 4" blued Colt Diamondback 38 Spec. revolver that I let a friend of mine talk me out of (which he traded off about 2 months later >:( ) and the third was the 4" blued Colt Python I bought new in 1980 and carried when I started the police department. I learned from those 2 guns and now when I get a gun it's almost impossible to get me to turn loose of it!
  16. It's probably a good thing we don't live next door to each other. Heck, it's probably a good thing we don't live in the same state! We think too much alike. Can you say 'enabler'? <laughs>
  17. I agree, that's just a catalyst for a new build. Admit it Matt, you know it is! <lmao> BTW, I did NOT acquire a new Strayer-Voigt 2011 receiver that I didn't need about an hour ago, no sir I did not! Not as far as the wife is concerned anyway. ::)
  18. Nice work! <thumbsup> I did a Para Ordinance widebody frame in the stainless DuraCoat a while back. It came out pretty nice and was a good match with the hardchrome slide I put on it.
  19. Not me! I'm a MANLY man! <laughs>

    Vitamins

So my wife brings me these whiz bang golly gee vitamins today and I sit down to read the label so I don't accidentally OD on them or I can throw them away when she's not looking if I can't take them with beer. The first thing on the label says, "Formulated specifically for the nutritional needs of men." Then a couple of lines down I read this, "Consult your physician before taking this product if you are pregnant, lactating or under a doctor's care." WTF! :o Must be referring to those 'girlie men' that Ahhnold used to talk about! <lmao>
  21. Well, problem solved! After screwing around with the IMR-4198 until I got PO'd with the metering inconsistencies I went to the local gunshop and picked up a pound of H335. I went home and knocked out 30 rounds at 25 grs. even, loaded them in a surplus mag and went to the range. The gun ran like a top, not one hiccup! The H335 meters great too!
  22. NoFail, it's at a gun show, there is no sneaking away 'little while' at a gun show! <lmao>
  23. I don't know, I've decided to not pursue it anymore. I can use the parts, just not with each other as the seller stated in the auction description. I'll get a short gas block to use with the front sight from the auction and a short front sight to use with the gas block from the auction. If it had just been a matter of mismatched parts I probably wouldn't have even started this post. My problem was with the way this jerk acted from the very first email I sent him about the issue. I just don't want any of my friends to have to deal with an idiot like that!
